The staff was very nice and friendly. Its a small hostel which supplies all the facilities you need. Its ideal for travellers who need to rest and catch up with sleep. The hostel is in great location for nightlife right next to Octogon square

We enjoyed our stay at Guru Hostel during our "concert trip". It is very cheap and perfectly located. It was a bit quiet for our mood, but the staff is really nice.

I didn't like the bathroom situation.. I had never was able to get the main bathroom so I kept having to switch between the other two to use the toilet, take a shower, then use the shower (with no apparatus to hold the head) to brush my teeth. This was a pain. There needs to be a sink in the toilet only bathroom and a shower holder in the shower only bathroom. The staff was nice but didn't speak English very well.

I booked a 3-bed female dorm with a friend, but when we arrived they told us we couldn't be in the same room due to technical problems. It turned out that there was a group of six turkish exchange students who didn't want to sleep apart (so there were four of them in a 5-bed dorm en two in a 3-bed dorm). This is understandable, but they are staying there for another three months, and for us this was our whole vacation. It would have been better if the exchange students switched rooms for 3 night

It's an apartment altered into a hostel, so expect cosy, personal hoste. I'd recommend it to travelers who doesn't seek party hostel but rather relaxed and cheap staying in the centre of (Buda)Pest. The girl who works there was helpful. She provided us with maps, towels, told us about tram/bus/underground routes and searched for information about Museum entrance fee when I asked her. The only problem I had was when two people were under a shower, water changed from hot to ice cold. Köszönöm!

Location is good. A lot of restaurants, banks, money changer, supermarket around the area. The price is reasonable. The hostel is clean but they dont like to turn on the light in the hall. The hall is very small with kitchen together. Impossible to fit 10people at the same time and the hall is dark. Staff is very cool, they only answer what you ask.

The big plus for the lady owner. When booking I asked for a room with double bed and got it without any problem, then during the stay we asked for some extra quilt and got we got it straight away. Minus was one - the hostel is in an old flat so you could if hear everything. If somebody stayed late in the kitchen talking, cooking etc, you could not sleep... The best is location - close to metro, restaurants, shop ( I recommend Oktogon Bisztro near by).

The hostel is probably one of the best that I have already stayed so far in terms of location and cleanliness. This is also really quiet and if you're keen on only getting to know the city during the day and then come back to rest it's really good, but this is not the kind of hostel you know many people. Average good.
