Very good location. Besides metro train station and tram station. Clean and tidy rooms and bed. Clean washrooms. Though beds make little sound when you turn around. Hostel provides free tea and coffee. Staff is fairly responsive. Not a very big and happening common room. But a perfect place for someone who uses hostel only to dump luggage and sleep.

The strong suit of the hostel is definetely the location (Oktogon square); the atmosphere is very quiet since it's a small place at the 2nd floor of an old building; the cleanliness is acceptable as well as the security (you can carry with you the keys of the room but there is no safe-deposit box); the staff is nice although not very helpful. I would recommend this hostel for anyboby who is looking for a cheap accomodation and who settles for the less possible ( bed, shared bathroom, wi-fi).

It was my third visit in guru hostel. Its great place, with splendid location ( in the middle of city centre, and yellow line of subway ) and great host.

I definitely liked this hostel overall. For what they offer is great price. . Has got what i consider major bonuses: Equipped kitchen available, free WIFI(you can use their laptop too if you haven't one), Washing machine, Lockers. And it is centrally located in Budapest: Pest quarter. Among Cons: i would say in winter the over-the-top heating system(personally i don't like too much heating in the room),It lacks a bit of character(it is not a party hostel), but it was not a major problem for me.

This was an excellent hostel. Perfect location, right across the road from Oktogon metro stop and literally in the centre of Budapest. The staff were very helpful and accommodating of our late check-in/check-out times. It's quite small so it feels rather like you're going home to a cosy apartment, not a dorm-style hostel. Only slight disadvantage is that there are only 3 washrooms so in the mornings it could be a little crowded, but for the price you can't go wrong. Would definitely recommend it

Perfect spot for sightseeing and partying in Budapest (10 mins on foot to the city centre, close to Szechenei baths). Good standard of rooms with helpful staff, all of that for an affordable price. Would recommend Guru Hostel to any vivitor in Budapest!

I love this hostel! Zsofie and Bolazh (sorry, I don't know how to spell your name!) are amazing people and I'm so happy I had the pleasure of getting to know them. The location and price can't be beat, there is a BATHTUB!, it is very clean, for a small fee you can do your laundry, there is a fully functional kitchen and free coffee and tea. My only complaint, and a small one at that, the floors are very creaky so if you're a late sleeper or coming home late-you're bound to disturb your roomies.

It is a very good place 2 stay!!! Very homely, it is good the fact that you can cook, and also have tea and coffe for free. Lockers available ( no extra charge) Location is excellent easy to get from airport you just need to get bus E200 and then change to the metro (£2), it is on the main road of touristic attractions so u don't even need to spend in transport!!!
