Clean hotel, HUGE room, friendly staff. Free internet at reception altho very slow! Some reviews say Alton is too far out of the way. People, TAKE THE TRAM! Get in at Tourist Office. This is not rocket science! SO easy and you can get anywhere! 15min walk to the hotel. Another 20mins to supermarket!Clean hotel, HUGE room, friendly staff. Was impressed by Hotel Alton &would stay there again. The hotel is very close to the tram, 10min ride into the city center. Us 3 girls on a Bordeaux wine tasting weekend & were happy to have a nice, clean room, 3single beds, couch, TV and a large bathroom. Staff was overly friendly and helped us w/Everything & spoke English. Only downside is breakfast not included-12 extra- and you hear the tram go by at night.
