I enjoyed my stay at H.I. Chicago Hosted tremendously! I felt welcome and safe. The hotel is very clean and the building is beautifully remodeled. During my stay, there was freezing cold weather in Chicago but all the areas in the hostel (rooms, aisles, 2nd floor common areas) were nicely heated which was wonderful! The nice breakfast was an extra bonus which I enjoyed. I would return to H.I. Chicago any time and can firmly recommend it.

Very impressed and will stay here again in the future for sure. My only recommendation is to do hourly walk throughs between 11pm-6am. We were on the 6th floor and a large group of girls above uspartied with loud music and dancing. This occurred around 1:00am some one intervened and silenced them, then they started back up again around 4:00am. I am a very heavy sleeper so it did not keep me awake too long. Just an idea.

The only think that I hate about this hostel is the fact that they didn't clean up the bed. In some hostel, they do that. and I was surprised that the price is not including the tax, which is 16%. So I spent more than $40 per night.

It was a little bit difficult to find its location and easy to walk from a station but you might find it is be noisy when you sleep. Most restaurants are in the north area and this hostel is in middle or maybe south, you need to walk maybe for more than 20 minutes to get where you wanna go for dinner. Excepting its location, room is so clean, staff is nice!! They serve free breakfast, so you can save money a bit! I wanna stay there when I come back to Chicago! good value for money actually!!

Please inform the size of luggage lockers (because my luggage almost didn't fit there) and the need to bring a padlock (or how much it is to buy one)

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Great location (very near to famous attractions), can be access directly from airport via blue line. Room and building can only be accessed with card key (good security). Facilities are very good. Both the room and the shared bathroom are spacious. The only thing I dislike was the upper level of the bunk bed is too high and it was a bit dangerous to climb up and down when the guest at lower level hang all her towels and clothes on the "ladder".

Really clean place, the rooms and bulks are of good size, the breakfast it's quite good and the location is awesome, we were able to move by foot almost everywhere (excl. airport) please be aware that you need the exact change for the subway (no bank cards accepted or change returned in thr vending machines... I had a really bad experience arrieving late with a 20 bill on my hands) i totally recomend this place

No real atmosphere for young travelers. No drinking or games.

Overall, the hostel was really awesome. It was one of the best hostels that I've ever been to. If you want to buy John Hancock Observatory or Willis Tower admission ticket in the front, you have to check availability first from staff. I wanted to buy but the tickets were all sold out.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. The room was clean & the beds/pillows were very comfortable. There were only 2 showers on our floor, but there were never long waits. The lockers in the room & downstairs were very spacious and secure. Security was amazing. We had to swipe our card 3 times to get up to our room. There was a really nice common room on the second floor. Staff was friendly & helpful. I was very impressed by HI Chicago & would recommend it to anyone.

I've stayed here many times and I will be back. Most recently, I came to town for an interview. I arrived late and night and initially was given a top bunk. I asked if I could move to a bottom bunk since I would be waking up early and did not wish to disturb my roommates. The front desk attendant gave me a bottom bunk in an unoccupied room. I was able to rest that night and I went to my interview prepared and fresh.

I stayed at a 10 bed dorm for 5 nights. It was really value for money. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea round the clock free of charge was great! Best location, (at downtown) walkable to millennium park, magnificent mile and Sears tower. Great breakfast - but missed egg!!!

I have stayed at HI Chicago several times and want to say that everything is easy and well-thought so that the traveller can enjoy dedicating full time to what brought him in Chicago.
