On the whole, it is very good, especially considering the price. Whilst all the staff have heaps of integrity, there is, to be honest, something amiss with the overall management. They seem to have lost perspective, enthusiasm and energy. I really hope the Colon prospers, especially as it provides some good budget rooms and a very central location. All the staff were found to be ´nice´´ but is this enough? A great deal of new life need breathing into the place. ¡Viva Colon!
I believe this hospedera has been in the family for about 200 years and the one casa has been merged with the next. This explains the alice-in-wonderland interior to some degree. Really in need of a massive refurb but then it´s so characterful with its such old doors well out of plumb etc, it may be as well not to ´spoil´it. The staff are good especially Theresa. It´s ace value with fridge in room etc Could be a bit cleaner, Found one or 2 hairs under my sheet. Overall, very goood though
Nice, unmodernized rambling building, stuffed with quirky ephemera from bygone Spain. Right in the town centre; as a result, a bit distant from train and bus stations. Friendly and helpful proprietor-ess. If your tastes run to endlessly cloned Holiday Inns, then don't come here. Otherwise its a must-stay as part of your Andalucia experience.
