Out of all the hostels we stayed at on our trip H.I.Boston was the best! Brilliant facilities, location and friendly staff...would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Generally good location. 2 Mins from alot of Boston. The Boston public library is a 5 min walk up Boylston, register and you can get freeee internet. Be wary of the 24hour lockers in the kitchen, if you open it within the 24hours you cant reclose. Better to bring own padlock.

The plastic on the beds made it unconformable to sleep on. Everybody in my room would wake up sweaty and by the end of the week the room smelled like a foot. Next time I plan to bring extra blankets to sleep on top of.

great location, close to subway, and main attractions, lots of great cheap eateries because its in a college student area. rooms are a little stuffy even with AC unit, but hostel itself has quiet rooms. also key cards for rooms stop working on daily basis and have to get reprogramed. breakfast is good, basic cereal and bagels with butter and jam, but coffee is fresh and does the trick. Would defintely recommend and stay there again!

Staff were courteous but not friendly. Be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs! Location is absolutely brilliant.....

a typical HI: not that much fun but clean and safe. The activities organized were fun though (I liked the comedy night in contrast to many others :) )
