HBC Hostel was great - the owner made us feel right at home, the location was fantastic, and the facilities were great - good showers, cooking facilities, etc. Overall fantastic experience in Budapest!

I stayed in HBC Hostel for 2 nights in a 3 bed female dorm. I really appreciate how the owner and his staff made my stay very at home. I shared the room with a Swedish girl and now we are friends. It was so kind of the owner to take us on a night sightseeing tour on his car. The building where the hostel is may be hard to find at first, but it's a very convenient location; metro, bus stations and the train station to the airport are within walking distance. It worth the money.

simple, but cheap and with everything you need. Not too bad overall - watch out for the massive posters of croatia covering EVERY room.

Really nice place! I rented a two-bed room with one other female friend, and we had a really great time! The location couldn't be better, and Anton is such a nice and helpful guy! Definitely one of the better hostels at which I've stayed.

A very quaint, quiet hostel - unlike any of the other hostels I stayed at while on my trip. Staff were friendly, the place was quite clean during my stay. Definitely not a party hostel, but a great place to stay if you want a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I hadn't stayed in a hostel for some years and this was my first stay in a hostel as a solo female traveller, and I absolutely loved it here! Great location in town centre and a 5 minute walk from one of the main train stations, excellent price and the whole experience was made great by the very helpful and hospitable hostel owner Anton! I was welcomed with lots of homemade stew and also fed goulash soup before I left for my flight home, Anton is a lovely man! I would definitely stay here again!

Highly reccomend!!! good location in the very central part, most of the places on the walking distance, good accomodations, and for sure director Anton who will be the best gide and friend during your stay!! nice evenings with "gulyash" maden by Anton, wine and good time!:) he will explain everything just ask, the cheapest and comfortable way to get to the hostel from the airport is to write a mail to the hostel, and he will pick you up. Thank you Anton really enjoy it.! Hope to see you again:)

Staff is very helpful and kind. The owner helps you everything you want. He also cooks a special meal once a week and he takes you to Budapest tour with his car, if there is 5-6 people! It is enjoyable to stay there, i recommend.

Good location but cleanliness and security very far from what we were expected. the showers can't be lock so when you are in the shower anyone can open the door whenever they want. We couldn't wait to leave and we definitely won't go back to that hostel if we had to.

Lovely stay here. The staff were really attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, with a good central location. An additional blind/curtain alongside the door in the twin room would be the only suggestion I would make.

It is good hostel to stay a few nigth. The owner is very friendy and helpful. I wouldn´t not reccomended to stay there for a long time period. There is no enough storage space and cleanliness could be better.

I really do not recommend this place. The place is fine but the price is to high for the room you get. The rooms are really small, not very clean and you do not even get clean blanket. To avoid
