Very nice hostel, in center of city, very cheap. The owner is really friendly, helpful and he cooks very good :). I would recommend this hostel for anyone who is going in Budapest!

I spent a very lovely time on this hostel, the staff very kind ready for help, the hostel is right on the city center everything close to you most of museums, park, zoo and the good restaurants, lovely atmosphere, the shower is hot 24/24 clean, if you ask for the Hungarian food they can be made for you.

Had a good experience staying at HBC Hostel. The owner Mr. Anton was a very helping and kind. He maintains the place very well. All in all nice place, worth every penny and would recommend to all to stay there.

The hostel is very well situated so we found it easily. We received a warm welcome - the host invited us for a meal. Right away we checked-in the host offered us free city tour and we received a piece of advice about Budapest sight seeing. We strongly recommend the hostel to people who would like to spend great time and do not want to spend a fortune.

The hostel if perfect!, the staff is so kind (he gave us the ride to some places, invited us to have some tea and to eat one hungarian meal!). The room I stayed had little lockers enough for us and the hostel it's was really good located !! In the middle of Pest, close to everything you want to see! Thankyou for everything Anton!

We had an excellent stay at the hostel, it's clean, homely, has a great location (every major site is within walking distance) and the price is very reasonable! We would stay here again for sure! Martina, Tomislav, Iva

I definitely liked the stay at HBC hostel. It has a familiar character because it´s not so big and the staff is very nice and helpful!! It has a good location and offers the minimum standards you need for the stay in a city.

Okay, the staff was very nice and helpful and friendly. Hwever, it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The place itself was a bit grim...not dirty, just grim. I ended up leaving early. If price and safety are your main concerns then you are probably fine. Maybe it is more authentic?

No security lockers to mention, but hostel seems like someone's house, so gives a safe feel, couldn't imagine anything being lost. A beautiful building. Location was good, could find everything just walking around, but the tram would have been quite far to get. Landlord obviously knows this, as he was a very good personal taxi driver to all his guests which was wonderful and made our lives a lot easier. Atmosphere was social, partying in the living room which was fun for people who joined in...
