we enjoyed our time at this hostel! the staff is very helpful and the location is excellent! once there was no hot water because of too many people taking a shower...but after half an hour the problem was gone. really a good place to stay!

I stayed at HBC hostel for 4nights. It was gooood. I traveled alone but the staff(Antone) was kind and helpful. Although the hostel didn't provide breakfast, there is a non-stop market in 1min (price is good) I took shower at night, the shower rooms were not crowded and hot water was flowing well. The best hostel ever for me :)

I had such a good time in Budapest because I stayed at HBC. The location and accommodations were wonderful (walking distance from everything), and the owner even cooked us a traditional hungarian dinner and drove us around the city at night. Anyone planning on visiting Budapest should definitely stay there!

HBC Hostel helped to make my experience in Budapest even more incredible. It is in walking distance of all Budapest's landmarks, is clean, cheap, and secure. But HBC's owner, Antun, really made this hostel stand out. He is multilingual, helpful and friendly, and cooked me, my two friends, and two other guests of the hostel a delicious meal on our last night in Budapest AND gave us a ride to the airport at 5am. I highly recommend this hostel; it's the best hostel I have stayed at.

I really like this hotel. We have a very happy 2-days staying. The location is very good and traffic is convenient. It nears the parlament . when we have the night-seeing, we just walk to the hotel. Besides, the hotel owner is very nice und he provides uns many usefull informations. I'd like to commend this hotel to my friends!

The HBC Hostel was a pretty good place to spend our weekend in Budapest. The staff accepted us 2 hours earlier than we stated we will arrive. Our room, the kitchen and the bathrooms were clean and equipped with everything. We also received very useful information for everything we needed. And you really receive coffee for free! :)

We loved everything about our stay at HBC Hostel! The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, and the location was amazing. Antun even cooked us (and some other guests) and traditional Hungarian meal one night! Really the only thing that bothered us was that we were constantly being asked if we were going to give the hostel a good review on hostel world. We l were VERY happy with our stay , but we wish they hadn't bugged us about the reviews so much We would def. go back!

Extremely nice and helpful owner: he speaks six different languages, invited us to a homemade hungarian dinner, looked up what terminal we need to go to to fly back home while we were enjoying our last day in town and he gave us a free ride to the airport at night. Thanks a lot!

I stayed at HBC for 3 nights with a few of my friends and I had a wonderful experience. Anton was the best host we've ever had. He was so kind and helpful. This was hands-down the best hostel experience we've ever had in Europe. The facilities were a little old, but still doable. I highly recommend this hostel if you're staying at Budapest.

The facility was fine and faculty very nice, but I would advertise this more as a home/ riad. The gentleman lived there and said we couldn't leave before 8am, he waited up for us to go to our rooms, it felt a little claustrophobic. I realize now that it's his house and he's concerned, but if we wanted to go out at night it would have been very awkward.

It was a great time at HBC Hostel. The room was clean, the treat was excellent, the owner prepared a dinner for us to taste the Hungarian typical food and he even gave us a tour around the city by car, showing us the most important places and giving us all the information we needed. The location eased our trip (5 min from parliament and from the centre). You just need to catch a train to go to the main market of the city; you can go walking to the rest. Indeed, a great time.
