Awesome hostel. Not a party-minded one and mostly with a familiar environment. The swimming pool helps you to refresh during a hot day in Olinda. Beds are nice, lockers inside the bedroom. They also offer you a towel on checkin. What could be improved: staff at the reception could be more informed about the events that would be happening during the pre-carnival.
Nice hostel. Just a bit expensive. But would book it again. Breakfast was ok (comparing to other brazil hostels), but nothing special.

Some rooms are close to the street, so a lot of noise of passing cars. No wifi in the room and staff doesn't speak English, but they are friendly though. Breakfast is good.
Nice Staff. Unfortunately, the piscine was not available at that time. And there is not a lot of contacts between travelers... Nice place to stay in group!
Nobbody spoke English and didnt seem to want to help us at all. The man when we arrived didnt know how much he was meant to be charging us. The room smelled really bad. The breakfast was poor. Very expensive for what it is.
Great hostel with really cute decoration and a cozy feel. Also they have eggs made fresh to order for breakfast which is awesome to fill you up for a long day of tourist-ing!
Nice common areas. Outdoor kitchen, hammocks, and dining tables. Close to quaint historic Olinda area. No swimming beaches.
They have a beautiful swimming pool with hammocks you can chill out on, the hostel is very clean, rooms are a goo size with late lockers. it seems very very safe in this little town. The breakfast is good, eggs, bread, fruit, coffee, fresh juice. The beds are comfortable and there's a fan in each room. Staff are helpful, large tv in communal area but we mainly stayed outside in the hammocks by the pool side. Kitchen is outside which makes it easy for cooking. Really enjoyed our stay here
beautiful hostel in welcoming setting central common area around pool with hammocs and open kitchen clean and spacious dorms good breakfast - location not as central (although only 10 mins walk to historic roads)
Very nice Hostel with a beautiful Swimming pool and nice outdoor area with hammocks and kitchen!
Staff don't all speak English. The woman who is in charge of breakfast became upset with me for entering the kitchen which seems to be her territory even though there were no signs posted. The bathroom door in my room would stick closed and there's no handle on the door so after several moment of panic I had to lie on the floor and pry the door open by sliding my fingers under the crack of the door. The room was fan only but the fan spins so loudly and violently we were afraid to use it.
the hostel is nice, clean, nice pool and great outside area... olinda itself has a beautiful old center but a few hours are enough to see it... would have expected a little more from my stay but i guess thats not the hostels fault...
Nice place with terrasse for dorm and pool Breaskfast could be better Nice staff, thanks
Great common areas including a decent sized pool. Hammocks. Friendly staff. Good location along the beach road, close to the historic centre. Good wifi, although it doesn't work well in the rooms in the front main building (rooms 1-4). Good sized lockers
Overall the hostel was in a good location and clean enough. The main issues were security and size. The dorm rooms only had one key which you had to share amongst the rest of the people so the doors were usually left unlocked because you never knew when someone else might need to get in. And the front gate was unlocked and therefore anyone off the streets could enter the rooms. The rooms were also so tiny that there was not enough room for everyones backpacks on the floor.

The place is really nice just some surprising hicks that might be quite disturbing. In my dorm our toilet blocked every other day and wouldnt flash so we have to use outside toilets, i saw many other people doing it so the system needs definitely some work, same goes for internet. It had a low signal and break constantly. It was enough to switch it on'n'off to make it work but the staff'd never do it. Once i figured out where to do it i was happy and the connection fine. No English spoken.
Ambience, location, rooms, everything is quite nice, the only problem i noticed was a drunk (or stoned) old guy how is always there, maybe he´s the owner, but he's very annoying and bothers everyone
good stuff: good location, good breakfast, clean, small pool, lots of hammocks, staff is pretty helpful downsides: only wi-fi (no computer for use), security is minimal (the gate at the front has a chain that you hook/unhook to get in and out), dorm room could be a bit stuffy overall I enjoyed my stay, and the other travelers I met here were very friendly. However, it was annoying since I didn't have a laptop/smart phone/tablet I had to keep borrowing a friend's or pay for internet at a cafe.
sometimes at nite there were no one at the reception.Hosts used to open the door at any person. There were two girls to help a lot of people in the hostel, and they work as one person, helping togeather one person at a time. Also they didint speak english. One of the bedrooms was hawful, no windows, 50 cm2 per person, 20 cm from my head to the roof fan.Apart form this good commun area and swimming pool.
