At walking distance from main turistic venues. Functional. Breakfast OK. Boy bedrooms at floor level are a bit noisy after 8 AM.

It is a beautiful old building, the showers were hot and the dorm room was comfortable. it had enough plugs for us to recharge our electronics. The staff was extremely helpful to a woman from Holland who had just arrived and learned that her ATM card had been cloned at an ATM machine in the Rio Airport. She had little money left and her card was cancelled. The staff let her use the phone to contact her bank and the Dutch Consulate as well as her mother so she could get money.

Good places in a great old house in a nice area. Price is extremely high. Breakfast is poor, no sweet things like jam or cake, strange that they have apples instead of local fruits. Room was not dark at night because of two windows to the main living room, noisy too. No internet!!! (just wifi).

I really didn't like staying at this hostel. The guys at reception were not really helpful on info, but that's all made up by the girls the next day, who helped me extremely well. Too strict on genders: males downstairs, females upstairs. Even the girl from reception wasn't allowed to enter and notice the bad smell in my windowless room, because it was a boys room... Problem got fixed with a spray, wherefore my gratitude! Wouldn't recommend, but there's not a lot of choice in Belem either...

A R$10 saving with an HI card which is decent if you've got one. The rooms are all pretty nice too & the kitchen well set out. Shocked at the lack of English spoken for an HI hostel (my bumballing Spanish just about got me through). The other slight disappointment was the free breakfast. Very nice food and very well presented, but only a very small amount of it. Not what i´d say most travellers are looking for! Right near the centre of town and near the docks for boat tickets to Manaus.

The staff is nice and helpful (most of them), some of them have no clue. Its located on a main avenue, but far from everything. Clean and comfortable. The directions on how to get there by bus are wrong, dont take the first bus that says vero peso, you have to go across the street from the bus station and take the bus to the left side.

The building is awsome, and has alot of character. But the staff was rude and it was to expensive... you dont travel to stay inside so I moved to another hostel that was mutch cheaper!

Within walking distance to everything worth seeing in Belem. Staff are really helpful. A little bit expensive but there doesnt seem to be many other options in Belem
