About HI-Baltimore
HI-Baltimore is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore City. Nestled in between the Washington Monument and the Inner Harbor just off of Charles Street; HI-Baltimore is within walking distance to everything Baltimore City has to offer. Explore the world famous Lexington Market, walk along the water and discover the neighborhoods of the Inner Harbor, Harbor East, and Fells Point. Spend the day relaxing in the parks surrounding the Washington Monument or take a short trip to the rolling hills of Patterson Park. If it’s the wild that you are after, visit the National Aquarium and the Maryland Zoo. Did someone say sports? Camden Yards and Raven’s Stadium are a quick 10 minute walk from the hostel, just on the other side of the Convention Center. And don’t forget Washington DC is just a short 50 minute train ride away.
HI-Baltimore is a part of the long and rich history Baltimore City has to offer. We are located in an 1857 mansion across the street from America’s First Cathedral – the Baltimore Basilica. We offer 44 beds in 12, 8, and 4 bed settings. Each room has a bathroom located in the room. We provide the sheets, towels, and blankets. Small lockers are available for use (bring your own padlock). Free pancake breakfast is available daily. Free WiFi. We have a large quiet common room, dining room, full use kitchen, back deck and lower patio, laundry facilities, and a TV room with cable television and movies.
Just because we are 'sold out' online it doesn't mean we are sold out at the hostel. Give us a call with any questions and to find out up to date availability at 410-576-8880 seven days a week between the hours of 8am and 11pm.
Front desk hours are from 8am to 11pm daily. (NO Lock Out, NO Curfew)
**There is a $10 late arrival fee for all arrivals after 11pm
**No walk ins without a reservation after 11pm
**You cannot stay at HI-Batimore is you reside in Baltimore City or the Surronding Counties
**You will be asked to pay a $3 per day membership fee if not a member of Hostelling International
**Local tax (13.5%) is added upon check in

Now through December 21st - Baltimore Farmers Market
Just a short 5 minute walk from the Hostel, the Baltimore Farmers Market happens every Sunday. You can get local produce, milk, meats, arts, and more! Pick up something to cook in our amazing kitchen.

Whats Going on at the Hostel?
Every Morning, 8:15am to 10:30am – FREE make your own pancake breakfast. We provide the batter and the syrup, you do the rest!
Thursday Nights, 6:30pm - Join other hostellers for a pasta dinner. Share travel tales, make new friends, or simply enjoy some good food. Dinner is $3 and served at 6:30pm.
Every Friday Night, 8pm - Movie Night @ the Hostel!
Enjoy new releases and old favorites shown on the projector screen in our basement common room. As the weather gets nicer we will move the movie showings to our back patio. Sit out under the stars and enjoy a movie with some friends and new friends to be!
