I really enjoyed my stay. Charming old building with lots of character, lovely staff, great location (minutes away from the inner Harbor), very clean and - exceptionally nice, very QUIET! The location is perfect, because its minutes away from lots of activity, but on a very quiet street, so the noise doesn't spill over.

Not the best, not the worst. A good location for walking everywhere in Baltimore, and a nice old building with nice kitchen. But the atmosphere was quiet and weird, no events organised and it was hard to meet people. Two out of three showers were broken throughout our whole stay, and one out of two toilets, along with the fact that all the lockers in the rooms were broken and could be opened by anyone. A good option if you want to go to Baltimore but don't expect the standard of other HI hostels

Booked through hostel world, turned up and was told the price was $10 a night more than advertised due to the price on hostelworld being 'an old price'. Same with other people staying there at the time. Otherwise good value.

Beautiful old building with lots of character however it was very very quiet. No music or any atmosphere at all. Staff were nice when you got to know them but at first was just an awkward check in with hardly any conversation. Good location and pancake breakfast.

This place blew me away! It was so splendidly decorated. I really actually felt at home at HI-Baltimore. The morning pancake breakfast was also very nice =D I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place to stay in Baltimore.

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE HOSTEL. MORE THAN $40 FOR A SHARE SMALL ROOM OF 10. NEXT TIME HOTEL.

**DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL THROUGH HOSTELWORLD** When I arrived I was told that they had no record of my booking and that there were no more beds available for the 2nd night. Also, they stated that the price was much higher than was listed on this site. They blamed both problems on hostelworld, but the more I think about it, the more it is also their responsibility to ensure that the prices and availability are correct on the site. As for the hostel. Fine, but not worth the price.

The hostel is located rather central and you can easily walk to Downtown Baltimore. It's also not too far away from the famous Aquarium and the Inner Harbour. The building itself is really nice and very clean! The entrance hall/common area is very big and so is the kitchen. You reiceive door codes for the entrance door and the room door, though the front door one never worked. The bathrooms inside the dorms were clean too and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. I would recommend getting a single room instead of using a dorm room. They have rules set aside for guest sharing a dorm, but the room still gets loud with other guests snoring or late arrivals who make a lot of noise.

The hostel is a short walk from the convention center, light rail, and buses. The front door and dorm rooms have personal key codes for security. You can leave luggage in a secure room if you arrive before check-in, but I felt rushed by the staff and didn't get everything that I wanted in or out of my stuff. The common areas were all clean, but the bathroom of my dorm was not cleaned frequently or thoroughly enough for me (I stayed 4 nights). The kitchen and included breakfast were great.

GREAT location, set in an old house full of character (loved hanging out in the living room and basement!). It's a bit pricier (only because it's HI), but with the discounts you get around town, you really do get bang for your buck.

This is a great hostel! It's in a beautiful and unique 19th century brownstone, decorated with murals and framed photos. Staff were super friendly and the kitchen and common areas were really nice and very clean. Great downtown location, easy to walk everywhere.

The staff was sort short with us, and not very welcoming. It wasn't the most secure environment either, and I've stayed in hostels all over the world. They had parking, but had this rule that required us to give them our keys during the time it was left their, with no clear explanation. And on our second night, the staff came in to show potential guests the room we stayed in, waking us all up. It was largely the staff that made the experience less than comforting. Location is great though.

I liked your hostel all lot, but it would be nice if you could change the discription from Megabus to the hostel. It would be good to mention that there are two Stops one for NY and one for other destinations. And the Saratoga/Cathedral exist thebusdriver told me is not for #35.

Arrived around 12:45am and the staff person wasn't there! I rang the doorbell like 40 times, left several voicemails, and finally a resident noticed me outside nearly half an hour, found (and presumably woke-up) the attendant and then i got checked in other than that the hostel was fantastic! great downstairs area, wifi is fine
