I liked the friendliness of the staff very much. they were so helpful too. the rooms are really nice and the kitchen well organized. Additionally, I liked that the hostel is located so close to the forest so that one can go for walks very easily. though it takes twenty minutes to walk to the downtown - but I enjoyed those walks, it was very nice. and then as well every one staying in the hostel gets a bus pass so the distance to the downtown isn't a problem at all.

I really enjoyed my stay. Having breakfast on-site was fantastic, the staff were super friendly and easy going. Beds are a little uncomfortable, but I didn't lose any sleep over it. Thanks again!

HI hostels for me are always good but never great and this one was no exception. The location was excellent though, surrounded by wildlife and some of the Banff trails. It's out of town but you get a free bus pass and the walk isn't too bad anyway. The cleaning left a lot to be desired though, we had all sorts of stuff left around our room and the showers weren't always clean. It did the job though. Staff were fine, big lockers in the rooms and a free breakfast if you book though here.

Great hostel, great location. Easy access to Banff town.... free bus pass is brilliant. Huge fully equipped kitchen and cheap drinks in the bar. Could do with more showers and a bigger lounge area but cannot fault the staff or the character of this place.

A well managed hostel full of character in a great resort town. It had plenty of character and facility. I can only recommend it.

We enjoyed a brief stay there in February, made all the more pleasant by staff who went beyond the call of duty. On leaving some important medications in the fridge after an early-morning departure, James was only too happy to help organise a courier to return them to us. Thanks so much to wonderful staff, who exemplified our Canadian experience of fantastic customer service.

Stayed there for 4 nights. Private room was very small, but clean and the bed comfortable. Free access to the local bus helped offset the distance out of town.
