This is, without question, the best hostel I have ever stayed at. I stayed in the Mary Belle building - $3 extra per night, but totally worth it. The massive lockers, the power points in convenient places, the numerous hooks around the dorm, the ensuite washroom, the clean modern building, the free pancake breakfast (thanks Hostelworld!!!), the stunning scenery, just amazing. Will come again!

A bit too much of youngsters running up and down in the hostel, but not something that could be lived with. Good that there was that beer cellar as they will party there instead their rooms. Pity that Cougar Pete's wasn't open during the evening as it would have been nice to have a pint and a sandwhich in the evening in the patio.

Loved my stay especially the cafe. Though I wish it was open later for dinner. Also one shower wasn't working in the washroom on my level. Should have been provided towels ( I didn't ask either... )

really nice hostel to stay in. alittle out of the way, so you need to be organised so you catch the bus otherwise its a 40min wait or taxi.

The views are stunning and although the hostel is uphill from the town, the free bus pass makes all the difference. Banff hostel is worth a visit!

Very clean, bus stop is just near the hostel and takes only 5 minutes to get to Banff Avenue, and the hostel provided us with complimentary bus tickets which was great as it is too far to walk to the hostel from town (with luggage anyway.. we made that mistake when we arrived). Staff are friendly and very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay there again.

An incredibly noisy hostel, considering that I had chosen it because I thought the Samesun hostel would be the party one! The rooms are incredibly hot and sleeping is impossible. The afternoon receptionists are also very rude and couldn't be bothered to help us with anything.

Great place to stay, pancakes were gorgeous, gourmet ones that were.cooked by the chef. Showers were clean, hairdryer in the bathrooms. Plenty of plugs in the rooms, as well as lockers. Lockers were huge, not big enough for your suitcase.but can fit a backpack and a couple of handbags quite easily. Staff were so helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice Hostel, I liked the keycard access, the rooms are nice, beds reasonably comfortable and the cafe and bar are nice to have around. The only problem was the water pressure in the showers, lots of calcium build up on the heads so only a trickle comes out.

Hi banff is a bit of a schlep up the hill, definitely worth catching the bus. Fortunately the hostel provides a free bus ticket, a definite plus! The hostel has a great view of the mountains from the deck, don't expect views from the dorm rooms though. All in all i had a good time :) hostel was clean and staff friendly.

Good location with the town of Banff just a short bus ride away. I loved that a bus pass is included for free with your stay and can be used for any of the buses that run through the town. Staff were very friendly and helpful and had great local knowledge. I was upgraded to a private room when I got there and they also helped me to organise tours I wanted to do. Hostel was clean and safe with activities on most nights. The only bad part was the breakfast. Quite expensive and service was slow

I thought the accommodtion was very crampt and basic. The hostel rooms even though they were at the end where you thought there would be little traffic were very noisy, doors banging and drunken groups at early hours of the morning outside the windows. I thought the price was high for the standard of accommodation.

The Alpine Banff hostel was terrific. The staff was especially friendly and helpful, the facility clean and well equipped, with a nice kitchen and laundry facilities. The restaurant and pub were a nice addition.
