The staff is good and helpfull, and the hostel is clean and have a good atmosphere. The only problem is the location. It's near the bus station and the region isn't safe. There's a lot of homeless. And the real price of the cheaper rooms is 45 reais, and not 35, like the site. You have to have the hostel's card to pay the cheapest price.

bad neighborhood but safe hostel. relatively small, I actually had a room to myself for three days. Staff doesn't speak a lot of English but are friendly and helpful. Not much to do at the hostel so try and find things to do elsewhere

Clean, spacious rooms, modern-looking interiors, OK staff, pretty good breakfast. Just don't trust their ridiculously overpriced "transfer" services - most of the times, taking a taxi will be much cheaper. The location is not the best one - as attested by the big walls, barbed wire and electric fences everywhere - but you're fine as long as you don't draw attention. Just avoid wandering carelessly showing your camera and stuff like that, and don't walk at night.

the hostel itself was very nice and the staff was also very friendly. but the hostel is located in an area of town that was terrible! i felt very unsafe walking around the neighborhood, especially at night. for the same price that i paid, i could have had a much different experience in a nicer side of town.

Nice hostel It's just a pity that all the services are so expensive ! it shouldn't be the case in a hostel.
