Nice private room for a hostel with an amazing view overlooking Ouro Preto. Free towels for both of us would have been nice.

When leaving bus station, turn RIGHT away from the main paved road onto the cobblestone path that leads to the nearest church. Keep LEFT as the path splits around the church and eventually you'll come to the hostel. If you reach a second church, you've gone too far. Generally clean hostel, but some of the "clean" sheets were dirty. Location is a bit far from the center, and you have to climb huge hills to get back to the hostel. Basic breakfast. Staff were fairly aloof. Cold showers!

The location of the hostel is very good, specially if you arriving in Ouro Preto by bus. It's very close to the bus station. The hostel us very clean and has a nice decoration with typical things from Mina's Gerais state in Brazil. The view from the hostel to the city is breathtaking. The staff despite being very helpful do not speak English very well, that's definitely something to improve. The breakfast is very good, one of the best I had in a hostel. In general it's a good place to stay.

Lovely rustic hostel close to the bus station and to the centre of town. Would recommend.

During my brief stay, the weather did not permit me to do very much outdoor activities so I spent a lot of time at the hostel during which the internet was down for almost 48 hours. Otherwise the hostel has some decent facilities, a very good kitchen and a spacious common area. However, I would advise the management to employ some English speaking staff as I was unable to communicate with anyone regarding payment, activities etc

It is a poor service, that nobody in the hostel staff speeks any english. There were no tourist information provided. Good laundry service. Breakfast could be improved.

Very clean tidy hostel, well equiped kitchen and comfy beds and clean showers, not alot of atmosphere as hardly anyone staying there and although the website for the hostel is in english none of the 3 reception staff spoke a single word of english, we where going to call to ask directions, that would have gone well, and there is none you can ask about local points of interest or good and bad places to eat,its a hostel for international travellers not just portugese speakers.
