It would be handy if in the kitchen everyting is named where the cultery, pots, plates,... are. Every morning you have to search your way around.

Staff are very helpful about Calgary services and how to get around town. Overall, the hostel is amazing clean, great facilities, atmosphere (little party but not too much), and great breakfast.

Parking lot was muddy so that made it difficult to keep footwear clean. Even with ear plugs in, I could hear people walking through the halls all night, which wasn't good for someone who had to get up early to go for a job related test. It was my first time staying in a hostel so I didn't know what to expect. Maybe next time I will book a hotel room if I have an important activity the next day or get a room to myself on the top floor if they are offered.

Good cosy hostel with friendly staff. Excellent sleeping quarters (nice wide beds and comfortable rooms) with individual lockers, a nice chilled out common room downstairs and good wireless reception.

I can say beteween 1 and 10 points, i can give 12 !! First because the staff makes you feel like at home, also you have space for read or stay with your computer in a quiet area, if you want to talk and meet more people you can goes to the lobby or the kitchen, for me is probably one of the best hostel that i have been. I really high recomend this hostel.

All of the staff at HI-Calgary are awesome. The dorm room are clean, very big and has a locker. There are 3 common areas (TV room, reading room, and the main lobby). The kitchen is pretty clean for the amount of people that stay here. They have free hot chocolate, breakfast, coffee and tea. The wifi is fast. The location is only blocks away from downtown. The guests are friendly.

I'm a random end of the city but tram makes up for that. Best atmosphere I've been in for a while, well balanced between social able and party. Staff know the city and always help you out. Kitchen is spot on and is always clean. Mattress was a bit of a let down for me, but hey it's a hostel not the Sheraton.

Moved to Calgary and used this hostel as transition accommodations until I could find something more permanent and was extremely impressed and I know I am going to miss some of the friendly faces. The location is phenomenal, just steps to the local C-train line (which is free from there through downtown), The zoo, Fort Calgary and the Glenbow museum are short walks away. The staff does its very best to take care of any needs and is always willing to give advice about what to do and where. The ho

Place is good, clean and has free breakfast, lacks any real character, as you would expect in a large commercial hostel. facilities and wifi work well, is expensive compared to many hostels but cheap compared to Calgary.

HI Calgary is excellent the staff is helpful and polite, also the place is constantly been cleaned to a high standard taking into mind the amount of people passing through it is kept in top condition. Just want to thank Jason and all the staff for a enjoyable stay and I'll definitely be staying there again.

It's a typical hostel - mostly dormitories with 6 beds (which are ok), lockers and sometimes snoring people inside - typical things which you have to count with on a backpacker-trip. The bathrooms / showers were clean, the meetingrooms were warm and friendly. The breakfast was a little bit poor - tea, bananas, muffins, pancakes, toast and marmalade jam / peanut butter. Sadly the Wifi was down in the time of my stay and they couldn't fix it. But I would recommend it for a short stay.
