The room had a terrible smell that persisted during our hole stay. The staff was rude or simply ingnored you. Breakfast was quite awful.

The electric shower in the private room 16 just did not work during the three days we stayed at the hostel. The front desk guys tried to fix it, but they said it was not possible and would remain as it was. O chuveiro elétrico do quarto privativo simplesmente não funcionou durante os três dias em que permanecemos no hostel. A recepção tentou arrumar, mas acabou dizendo que era possível e que permaneceria como estava.

We arrived for a late checkin and to our surprise the reception was also the reception for the night club disco inside the hostel where they also servebreakfast in the morning. So it was kind of akward having all your suitcases there with people all dressed up trying to get in the disco. Then we were also put in an apartment in the building across the street, it was a relief though to know we were far from the disco. It was an ok room with abathroom clean enough. Prices are a little too high imo

I had to stay in a building in front of the hostel, which is really isolated from people in the hostel. The bathrooms in this place were not cleaned daily,so the garbage acumulated there and once the toilette paper run over and they didn't replace until we ask for more.If they are charging more for being in a room with "private" bathroom, it should be worthy. Breakfast every day was the same.On the other hand the staff is really friendly and always willing to help you. The day trip tour was great

the staff is correct, but the last day i check out at 10am and they didn't want to keep my little bag (i had to paid for it). Moreover, we have to pay for everything and internet was always out of order, so i paid for it but i couldn't use it! what a shame!

Great customer service and very friendly staff, always willing to help. A special thanks goes out to Taise who was very patient with us, answering all our questions and helping organize our events.

É uma otima pousada, bem localizada, os recepcionistas todos bem educados e preparados para atender todos que ali chegam, independete da região ou país.

It is shit! Don't stay there! The atmosphere is okay, but the staff just don't care about you. The people from the bar (Jorge and the american guy that works for him are really nice), but the people from the Hostel itself just wants to take your money at any cost, especially a guy called "Edimar". Don't trust this guy at all, seriously. He is always charging you for more money saying that he can't do anything, that it is his manager's orders, but actually, it one of his tricks to get your money.

A hostel with a nice location and clean. But completely impersonal, lack of atmosphere, an odd mix of tourists and local people who are just there for work, studies or visiting relatives. Breakfast is the worst I have ever seen, they serve you a a plate with a single slice of ham and cheese, like in a homeless shelter, no fruits, no cake, no cereal.

The staff, in this case Ana was the best host i've ever had in a hostel, very helpful!!! the hostel has an excellent location, one block to copacabana beach, so it's very comfortable!! Really, i recommend copa hostel!!!

The security side of things was generally good however lockers didnt exist in the rooms that were big enough to fit our backpacks in, all that was available was a small locker under neigh the beds. There was also a problem with the bed layout in the dorm on arrival, this continued throughout the entire stay with confusion with bed numbers...to the point where i was asked to check out by mistake. All this took was an amendment on a computer to fix however multiple staff members were confused.

The staff were not very helpful and when they were it seemed like they were really going out of their way. It is way over priced and it seems like they wan to overcharge anyone they can (as witnessed in some of their lame bar nights). I overslept the morning after the last night of Carnival and they wouldn´t consider giving me my deposit back for towels, blankets, everything you would expect a hostel to provide for you with no deposit. Super weak, Don´t recommendc.

In general the hostal was great! The negative aspects of our stay mostly had to do only with other guests, not the hostal itself. One thing I wish could be changed would be a more secure area for the bag storage (which I do consider a necessity to have in a hostal), becausethe doors were kept wide open with tourists walking in and out. Even if staff cannot be watching 24-7...maybe the doors could at least be closed and guests could only enter with permission (or a key!).

We paid an ridiculous amount to stay in a 14 bed dorm, sharing a bathroom with the entire floor over Carnivale, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT! The atmosphere is amazing and it's a great place to meet other travellers. Staff are really helpful. The city tour is also well worth it. Good place, great people!
