The hostel was pretty good, the common room was nice, very spacious! Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the rooms were far too hot which meant I had to leave the window open, however as people were smoking right outside the window my room constantly smelt of smoke!

Used this hostel as a base to stay after emigrating to Canada for about 10 days. I couldn't recommend it enough, bit of advice though, book into a private suite so you can have your own space. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great location next to whyte ave which is were there are a lot of pubs and restaurants.

Amazing location, very good staff. I really appreciated the complimentary towel, as that was the one thing I'd forgotten to bring...

The front-desk staff were very helpful; I had a number of enquiries and requests, and they were able to help me with all of them. My only complaint was that the room had a dirty floor and smelled a bit (not a lot). I think sweeping & mopping with Mr. Clean before assigning the room would go a long way. That is all.

Canada's Worst Kittchen! Rooms are ok, but there is no way to set the temperature. It was constantly too warm in the room, even with opened window. (we stayed there in December).

Good hostel, what I'd expect from a HI hostel. Although it lacks the traditional hostel character, I go to travel for the cities and the people I meet along the way...generally I try to spend as little time in the hostel as possible so as long as there is a clean bed, and friendly staff then I'm easily pleased!
