That hostel is pretty much the only one, and you get what you pay for (except for the internet which is pretty slow, when it's working)

This hostel was great! The staff were helpful & I loved that they had printed little direction cards to different destinations around the city, it made getting around easy. The location was really good - just off Whyte Ave & near to public transport. The only thing I didn't love was how hot the bedroom was - the crazy change between outside cold and inside super hot made me ill (literally) & made sleeping uncomfortable. Apart from that I really enjoyed my stay! Thanks heaps!

This is a great hostel. One of the best. Facilities are great and it is nice and quiet. A real community feel to the place. I would reccommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at the IH in Edmonton. The staff is kind and very helpful, the showers are super clean, I felt safe and the location close to the University of Alberta and Whyte Street is IDEAL! Thank you so much. MF

The hostel was very nice. It is a bit far from downtown but that decision in a street which is very busy. but you can rent cheap bicycles and you are in 10 min in the town. The kitchen was dirty and it was not nice, to cook there. The internet was very slow. it was almost impossible to bring up a page. This hostel has me very pleased that the average age was rather high. For once, not so young people

The building is like a compound of some sort, no character at all and not very inviting but the location is excellent, right on Whyte ave where all the pubs and bars are with great bus service to the entire city or close enough to the river valley that a walk there isn't a chore.

Very average hostel. Location is ok for going out in general as there is a main street close by with pubs and restaurants. However if you are looking to go to the West Edmonton mall it is about an hour away. Staff were friendly but hostel didn't offer much in the way of activities. Breakfast was not included either.
