Don't go to Ein Gedi anymore as you can't go in the dead sea from there. It's closed because of sinkholes. Better go to Ein Bokek. So no more shops or anything to buy food, closest shop or ATM is at 4km. Close to the nature reserve though. The place is kind of devalued, this isn't reflected in the price yet. Rooms are ok, however our AC didn't work the first night. They didn't find the key of the luggage room, so they broke the room open. For this price I expect more, for any hostel anywhere.

If you're hoping to swim in the Dead Sea, this hotel is NOT for you. The beach opposite the hostel has been closed for two years because of sinkholes, so you have to travel 30 mins by bus to Ein Bukek for a swim. There are no shops or bars near to the hostel, and the only thing to do is hike up Wadi David (very beautiful). Breakfast is included but dinner costs 58NIS (~£12) for a buffet and there are no other options. Not good for solo backpackers, but is full of families at weekends.

The breakfast is the best I had in Israel!!! Even though the hostel is just by the Dead Sea, you cannot just walk across the road to the sea because it is now forbidden because of the sinkholes around which may cause injuries. Therefore you have to take the bus to other places nearby (like ein bokek) to enjoy the Dead Sea. Also, there were literally nothing to eat around the hostel so you either have to bring your own food or take the bus to find something to eat.

The hostel itself is pretty nice. The staff are nice. It's the location that's not so good. You're in the middle of nowhere so if you're hungry in the evening you basically have to starve because there's nothing around for 3 miles and the buses dont pass by very often. Also, it's right across the Dead Sea but technically it's just for the view. Youre not supposed to go swim because the area has been closed off due to sinking holes. Its a great value for the price though because b

Nice clean rooms, rich breakfast. We really missed the lockers from the rooms. Safe is only available at the reception until 8pm.

Perfect place to stay in the middle of nowhere. Be prepared that there are no place around at all where to buy food or drinks. But across the street there is the Dead see. And next to the place is David waterfall where you can go hiking. Good breakfast in the hostel. Over all very good experience

A bit pricy hostel that has more of a hotel feeling to it (but everything in Israel is expensive so watchu gonna do.) The staff was AMAZING: a lot of thanks especially to Ahmed. The breakfast, with a lot of scrambled eggs, was beautiful. The hostel is located very very near to the Dead Sea but the closest beach is closed due to sinkholes. The hostel doesn't have a kitchen and the nearest market is situated a few kilometres away but atleast you can buy a dinner at the hostel if you want to.
