easily the most idyllic hostel iI've ever been to! well worth the walk uphill; lovely place in the middle of the rainforest. we stayed in a private room, it was cleaned every day and they changed our towels on the 2nd day. I would have liked more salty options for breakfast but the food offered was good. kind and helpful staff. cozy common areas that made our stay agreeable despite two days of heavy rain.

Lovely place to stay. Very good price. Unfortunately there was a power failure in the entire island, and we did not have light and hot water during a day. I would recommand this place.

Lovely hostel, a little expensive but then it is Ilha grande, friendly staff, amazing breakfast and hammocks outside each room! Really clean too.

Really imparted the laid-back beach vibe. Hammocks and beach chairs everywhere! It was great that it felt secluded and nature-y, though it was initially a bit hard to find (take the left, not the right, at the fork in the road on the way up!). Staff spoke limited English but I was able to communicate just fine. Take advantage of the all-you-can-eat dinners on weekdays.

This is a beautiful hostel, right at the edge of the town and the jungle - it feels like a $400/night vacation resort, honestly. The location is great, since town is tiny, and you get to escape the noise; they cooked dinner almost every night, and it was very easy to meet other people at the hostel. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean. There were hammocks strung up everywhere, and overall, just a fantastic place to live and relax.

Great hostel, beautiful location up the hill with if you re lucky howler monkeys in the backyard. Perfct value for money and a natural and romantic atmosphere. The small negatives are the cold showers and the disability of the staff to speak English but every thing was properly arranged.

Great location, in the middle of jungle, with humingbirds flying around and banana tree growing in front of our dorm. Loved the atmosphere, so peaceful and chillout. Very nice dorms with ensuite bathroom. However we were there during off season and only one staff member spoke English.

Great location on the edge of the jungle, but just a short walk from the beach. Breakfast was good, and we stayed in a nice little cottage for 2-3 persons. I can highly recommend this place for anyone going to Ilha Grande!

very nice atmosphere there, almost in the rainforest. staff could not speak english except of one girl.. i stayed in the 6-bed dorm, which is in a separate house and not like usual dorms, more like a little apartment, but with only beds and a bathroom. the room it self looked clean, but there was a really strong smell... which comes, i suppose, from the bathroom and because of the very high humidity.

very good quality/price ratio it's not located in the citycentre, but you have to walk about 10min from the port. but on the other hand you enjoy a calm, idyllic virgin forrest feeling. you've got your own little bungalow well equipped. everything is pretty and clean. the staff is friendly and helpful. there's no vermin. the offered meal ist excellent. for only 18R$ you get fresh brazilian food all you can eat. breakfast is also lovely offered.

I reaslly liked this hostel. It was off the beaten track a bit, up a hill and a little hard to find, but once there th rooms were really clean (cleaned every dady) and the breakfast was really good. The staff spoke limited english, but were helpful. I would definately stay here again. It was nice to be in the rainforest, it felt very chilled out.

Very happy to stay here. Great breakfast, nice showers. Great location, although not very central. Doesn't really matter as the distances are so small.

A great hostel! The bungalows in the forest are clean and spacious and well maintained. The breakfast is great, the meals that the hostel put on each night are delicious and great value for money and the hostel has a great feel to it. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Really nice hostel! A little bit hidden but absolutely worth the walk. It´s not at the beach but you will be in the middle of nature and still it´s an island so just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff is really nice helping you out where to go, they accept creditcards, the breakfast is really nice and please stay for dinner as well because it´s awesome! Dorms are big and clean.
