I thought Jason, employed by HI Hyannis was just shocking. He had a really bad attitude towards us. He honestly needs to learn some people skills. Also only being able to check in at 16h00 is ridiculous in my opinion. Most hostels that I have traveled to you can check in earlier and the people are friendly- bit not at HI Hyannis. There's also lot of old people at this establishment which goes against the whole concept of a "youth hostel". Not my favourite hostel at all.

Perfect in every way - close to the centre of Hyannis and near the Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard ferry - staff are very friendly and knowledgable and are regularly seen cleaning the hostel. In the 8 months we have now been travelling this has been placed up there with our favourite hostels. Clean, comfortable and a great place to relax or use as a base for exploring.

I just loved it at HI-Hyannis! Great location. Clean, modern facility and great staff. What more could one ask for in a hostel?

I loved staying here and have actually booked in for another few nights next week. It was very clean and in the perfect place, close to everything I needed.

Dorms need AC-badly, as does the common area. Breakfast wasn't great-out of date yoghurt meant it was just bread and coffee really.

The hostel is very small so there isn't a lot going on activities wise. It is in a very good location about half way between the beach and the main st. Excellent equipped kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. The rooms don't have locks so anyone is free to walk in. The staff ranged from very helpful and friendly to rude. They also have a strict policy about check-in and your not allowed to before 4
