GREAT HOSTEL and here is why: great atmosphere, amazing location (just at the bottom of mount Whistler), a SNOW FORT with a firepit outside, a well-equipped kitchen, loads of books and board games, super friendly staff, big beds, safe environment. Sharing your daily outdoor adventure around the fire is a MUST. Dorms are a bit smelly but honestly in wintertime what do you expect from hikers, iceclimbers and skiers?

The hostel is a bit far out of town, and the free shuttle to and from the hostel only runs twice a day. Acceptable location if you have your own transport. Internet speed is a lot faster than many other hostels I've been to, but restricted (no youtube, skype, downloading). The hostel wasn't too warm, which was a nice change from every other hostel I've been to. Nice and mild indoors. Had a very pleasant stay. The only difficulty was getting in and out of town without a car.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and I really enjoyed it. Met some very nice people from around the world and have a few new pen pals. The staff were wonderful and helpfull as well. The only negative was that I wanted to extend my stay by a day and was told that I did not have to worry as they were never full-up. The day I went to book for another night I was told they had no beds.

If you look for cheap accommodation and if you have your own car, then this hostel is a good choice. It was relatively quiet in the dorms, which is also due to the fact that they simply switch off the lights at 11pm. But if you don't have your own car and are dependant on bus transfer, then this is not the best option, as Jasper city is no within walking distance.

The 26 persons dorms needs a little humour and it costs $15 for a taxi run into town but if you are prepared there are excellent kitchen facilities and there is a shuttle during the day time to get you intotown($5 one way). it can be a really fun place to be. All beds have a lockable draw, linen provided and free wifi (though a little slow) and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. This is one of the better hostels I have stayed at.

Had a great time meet some great people. Staff were a bit anal about us drinking even when we were at the campfire. If you go to this hostel definitely get the fire going and night (and the drinking) youll have a better time. Would go there again.

Only hostel in Jasper that has mod cons- shame about the womens bathrooms being up and then down a flight of stares from the mixed bed dorms. and beware the stairs if you are having a tipple or two.

Everything met my expectation with the exception of the Internet connection. It was often impossible to get connected and even when you did sending one simple email could take 20 minutes.

Staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. Very rugged hostel, perfect for hikers with trails starting from right outside. Dorms are a little full on with 28 bunks packed in closely together. Automatic lights off In the dorm at 11, coming back on at 8am. Hostel is quite a way out of Jasper town up the mountainside and seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Decent place for our overnight stop off driving through the national parks.
