HI Lake Louise Reviews

The only thing missing from this hostel is a hot tub.

A cosy but modern hostel 5 minutes walk from the centre of Lake Louise. Easy walking distance from restaurants, bars and the bus that will take you up to the ski hill. Staff there are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you find whatever you need. Great cosy lounge, quick wifi, spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Couldn't ask for more from a hostel. Would definitely stay again and have already recommended it to others.

We stayed at the HI Lake Louise Hostel and it, BY FAR, exceeds ANY hostel we have stayed at (and we have stayed at a lot).They assisted us in so many ways- getting a discount at the local ( and phenomenally expensive) grocery store in the village , giving us some detailed hiking suggestions and generally adding to the joy of being in Lake Louise..the AGM there, Jeremy, was especailly helpful and the fact the he's been working there for 6 years, says miles about the quality of staff they hire.

A brilliant restaurant and friendly staff. The facilities were good. Just wish there were easier ways to get to lake louise and the other hiking areas. The walk is kind of long and shuttle busses needed to be booked much in advance.

Some lawn chairs or other comfortable chairs to sit back in on the grass area in front of the porch would be excellent.

This is a good base to explore the area with friendly helpful staff. It even has a sauna in the basement to help ease the muscles after a day walking.

Filmnight (Mondaynight) was not interesting because of the very old DVD's. Maybe you could buy some new ones. Apart from that detail, lovely stay. Greetings. Frank from Belgium.

We stayed here for one night and it was great. We cooked our own dinner in the public kitchen which was a nice change from eating at restaurants. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, also enjoyed the rec area upstairs where everybody was able to hang out, play pool, read, etc. Had breakfast the next morning and it was lovely. Would stay here again!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. No complaints. Located a short 3-minute walk from Lake Louise's main intersection. Very nice building with modern facilities. Their restaurant service stops at 10pm, but if you want to dine late you can go to the restaurant in the hotel across the street (open until midnight). Too bad breakfast isn't included in the price, though.

Did not like having to walk up steep ladder to get to our beds and no space for luggage in the room. WiFi reception was not very good in most areas.

This was a good hostel which worked well for us, even though we only stayed one night.
