The carpets in the room was dirty! It needs to be cleaned and washed. I an allergic to dust and my allergies were bad both nights. Perhaps a better vacuum or removing the carpet would greatly improve the experience. On the other hand, the location is great and even though it was expensive for a room with a shared bathroom, it was reasonable for Lake Louise in the height of tourist season. Enjoyed the restaurant associated with the hostel.

Clean and comfortable hostel with good character to it. The common areas and cooking facilities were excellent. WiFi was a little slow as you might expect in this location.

Great facilities and great and helpful staff! They very knowledgable of the local area and can give great advice as to what hikes and activities to do in the area. My room was very clean and I was lucky enough to end up with a double bed in the loft area.

This is more of a family style hostel but good value for proximity to Lake Louise. There is a huge kitchen, common room and lots of facilities (washing machines, 4 showers per floor). The bunk beds creak a lot and at night you can hear every step on the floor outside the room or in adjoining rooms. The restaurants food is AWFUL. don't eat there, bring your own food.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A few minutes away from the grocery store and the liquor store. Nice and clean 4-bed dorms, with big lockers under the beds. Big, fully-stocked kitchen. Restaurant on site. Not cheap, but offers good value vs the competition. Not a whole lot going on in the evening, which makes it hard for travelers to meet one another. Not enough activities to bring people together. Big parking areas for the cars. Good budget value in Lake Louise!

A very nice, clean and comfortable hostel. Rooms were a nice size, ensuite toilet, showers close by. Quiet, good beds. Staff helpful. Cafe attached to hostel - good food and prices. Close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a 4 bed dorm room. It was a good sized room with a bathroom which was great. The food at the restaurant was also very nice.

Welcoming, friendly, safe place to stay. Enjoyed staying here in a private room for four nights and would def recommend. Excellent location for exploring this part of the Rockies.

The major train line running behind the hostel was terribly loud, with constant train activity. Also, the beds were simply an old piece of worn down foam, very uncomfortable. Not a good value for the money.

The hostel itself was wonderful - perfect facilities restaurant / sauna etc. en suit bathrooms were great and the beds were comfy. HOWEVER, if you're traveling by public transport and you're on a budget, this is not the place for you! Lake Louise is an hour hike up a mountain via the road. I was told to hitchhike but didn't feel overly comfortable to do so by myself. Lake Moraine is another 12km away after your hike to Louise. Otherwise hiking is scarce unless off these tracks.

A hostel quite different from the ones I stayed in Europe. School dorm style. The room I stayed has an atic so we have to climb a steep ladder to reach our beds. Not enough chargers. Toilets are clean. The cafe has great food and coffee. We joined the bar night and bonfire, which were both quite nice. Its good that activity area and sleeping area have clear boundaries. in addition we tried the dry sauna, which is small but clean and nice.

Not very nice - smells like a locker room. Rooms and showers very small.

What I really didn't like: beds were not very comfortable, staff were not very nice nor welcoming.

The front desk staff could have been a little friendlier. I did not feel welcome at all.

I was happy with my stay. The location is great, the building is really nice and the combination with the café and the upstairs relaxing area is excellent. The only thing that I really missed is having a power outlet for the top bunks.
