Fantastic location, in walking distance of most things. Brekky included, nice!
Amazing hostel, met some amazing people! Central, close to the beach and 3rd sheet prom, Venice beach and the pier! Def coming back here!!!!
This is a very nice hostel, perfect location, clean and quiet. My only complaint is the price seemed quite high for a hostel. $55 for room of 4-6 beds.
Included breakfast is always good, although there wasn't heaps of variety. Kitchen facilities and general socialising areas were really nice. Bathrooms were okay but not great. My bed was quite uncomfortable but the location is fantastic if you want to see the Santa Monica area.
It's in a nice place with nice staff but it lacks an atmosphere. I'd say something like a BBQ in the courtyard would allow people to mix more freely rather than having people sit on opposite sides of tables at breakfast not speaking
Excellent staff, very friendly and know their stuff. Good location and perfect spot for a little getaway
We only stayed here for 1 night as we had a stopover in LA. The hostel is in a great location. Only a 5 minute walk from 3rd street promenade and about 10 minutes from Santa Monica pier. The staff are really helpful and the hostel is very clean and has great facilities. There are many cosy common areas to hang out and the breakfast which is provided is great. There is toast, bagels, fruit and yoghurt, cereal and juice and coffee.
Amazing location and very good premises. Atmosphere and breakfast were uninspiring though. US price for dorm bed (excessive).
Great location in Santa Monica - right by Third Street Promenade and the beach and pier. Easy walk to everything! Staff were lovely and super helpful. Had to pay for luggage storage of more than 2 hours after checking out which was a bit of a bummer. But great communal areas - kitchen, lounge rooms and a lovely fire for reading next to! Beds were super comfy and bathrooms were clean.
Good location! Helpful and friendly stuff! Just two blocks away from the beach and there're some good restaurants nearby.
Not enough activities for tourists on their own. Breakfast was very average and being in a room with 9 others wasn't an enjoyable experience.
Best part is the location -- right near beach, pier, 3rd street promenade. Cost $1 to get to from LAX via bus. Great hostel, although too expensive: including all taxes and fees it costs me $50/night as a non-member in a 6-bed dorm. Showers don't have heat options, it's just an on/off knob, so they are warm but not hot. Dorm rooms are great -- every bed has its own outlets and light. Wifi is good. Bonus points for charming open areas like a fireplace room and atrium. Decent breakfast.
