Beautiful hostel with a red roof. Nice and awesome service. The bar is pretty cool as well.

It was a clean and efficient place. The room was very clean, but the air was a bit stuffy as the windows were tighly shut. The fan or the central air control was on. When stepping outside, one or two meters from the entrance, I often saw people stand there smoking.

Next to Crescent street, one part of Montreal's bar scene, this hostel does provide the advantage of going out without going far. Also, the Montreal Metro will get you where you need to be, so no worries on transportation and touristy things. Hi-Hostel offers some cool perks on different days/nights, and the staff is ready to help you with whatever sightseeing, shopping or bar crawling you want to be doing. In all, very good hostel.

It would have been nice if breakfast was included in the price as in other HI-hostels.

Good location and friendly staff. Kitchen and bar in the basement whch wire nice and sociable, there's a program of activites as well, pubcrawls walks and so on. One restroom/shower in a ten-bed female dorm was not enough, would've been great if there were a couple extra on each floor.

I had an amazing time!!! Everyone was so kind and really helped me get where I wanted to go. Great staff, location and good price. I also was bumped up to my own room!

Friendly and helpful staff, ideal location, exceptionally clean. I would prefer if breakfast was available until later, and I would have liked to see a bit more character (for example, more colour and more creative decor like wall murals would have really made my stay more exciting and welcoming). But overall, great! I'll probably be back!

Had a fantastic time at this hostel. Staff were amazing, mostly native Montrealers so they had a fantastic knowledge of the city. The downstairs cafe/bar was also awesome, so easy to meet other travelers. Was a bit disappointed some activities were cancelled.
