This jail hostel is really fun and a guy staff is really kind and funny!!
But there is a staff who wasn't nice.

This is probably my favourite hostel that Ive ever stayed in (and i've stayed in a lot!) Couples, be warned! We were ripped off. Originally we booked a double room, but we were located to a family room (space for 6 people) and charged for that-they claim it that they usually do that and "if you click on the double room description, the family room picture appears") - that's really poor for a explanation. The breakfast was sensationall-3 kinds of cereals+bananas+apples+yoghurts! The Jail tour is definitely recommended to learn about it's history!Parking $5. Couples, be warned! We were ripped off. Although the hostel is cleaned every day, I woke up in bed with bedbugs! cost me all night cleaning all my clothes and bags. We did get compensation however: all the costs for washing and drying were covered and we were transferred to the biggest and nicest room in de hostel.Although the hostel is cleaned every day, I woke up in bed with bedbugs! cost me all night cleaning all my clothes and bags. A great and original experience in the centre of beautiful Ottawa - only gripe is that the open cells and the incredibly creaky beds makes it hard to get a full night's sleep with all that twanging and pinging of bed springs when anyone moves.
