It was a little expensive for a hostel. Nevertheless, great service and facilities. Thank you for having me, I will not hesitate to recommend the place to a friend.

Cool hostel with a fantastic tour of the jail that you must take! Only downsides were that it gets very very hot at night and a lot of light comes in since there's cell bars on the rooms instead of solid walls. Bring cool pjs and a sleeping mask for sure.

Cool experience but was pretty loud during the night..which is understandable since it's an old jail! No dish soap in the kitchen though when we stayed

I had a really great stay at this hostel, the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful! Breakfast every morning was great and the place was well taken care of. I would most definitely stay there again! The bar was quiet at night but the hostel is so close to downtown it didn't matter.

Good breakfast, helpful and dedicated staff. Loved the jail, but keep in mind it actually is a jail, so it may be a bit louder than a five star hotel, and rooms are small. Perfect for travelers or for anyone that's up for a new experience really. Would definitely recommend.

So much money for a small cell? And very noisy.. wouldn't sleep there again.

Very unique hostel. Fun to explore, and every morning there is a guided tour through the place. Included breakfast was very good, and there was also a bar area (outdoors though, quite chilly during winter). They also gave me a free upgrade to a larger room with a double bed, which was good of them. The doors are original jail-cell doors though, so you'll hear any noise from adjoining cells on your corridor. Worth it for the experience!

Great place with lots of cool history

The Jail. I Love this building. The cells are cool and its nice that they offer regular rooms too. It needs some social vibe, no atmosphere beyond being a cool building. Feels like it needs some basic tlc, dusty windows, signs peeling off the walls, wifi is sketchy. It has sooo much potential but is just lacking in a few key points.

The team is amazing! They are always going to help and answer any questions. The place keeps everything clean and pleasant to be in. Tours and attractions in the hostel provides an interesting and good! Reciprocal center building interesting content. The only problem for me was the noise a result of renovations made down the road but it's not something you can blame the hostel. So I really recommend to travel to!

Amazing location, wonderful breakfast, and solid internet service, considering the brick jail walls. It's a fantastic facility and a brilliantly re-purposed building.

This place is in a really perfect location. Staying in the jail is fun and a novelty but not too comfortable! The rooms (cells) are so tiny there's not enough room to put suitcases or have more than one person standing in. It's so hot and humid which makes it difficult to sleep. Wifi is temperamental and the place is really noisy. There are gaps in the cell walls so you can hear people talking in corridors. There was also a lot of explosions from construction works!

This building is not suitable for a hostel. It is a total disaster. One you get over the novelty of posting staying in a jail on Facebook everything else is downhill. Spent 2 nights in a sweltering single cell room which was very small and had no AC in a horrible camp bed, also no Wifi due to thich stone walls maybee? Funny atmosphere and whole buiding just dirty looking and miserable feeling. Bar was alsoclosed on the day I was there...this is by far the worse hostel experience I have ever had.

Very good location and breakfast was included!

It's an interesting and well-run hostel but you have to be aware that the old cells offer basically no privacy. The doors are iron grills, so you can hear everything going on in the corridors at night, and light from the corridors will shine into your room (especially annoying on the top bunks). It's worth it for the experience, but not necessarily a good place if you want to sleep well.

Personal items including a laptop were stolen from a locked locker. And I wasn't the only one who had their stuff nicked. The hostel could do nothing about it due to lack of cctv as the lockers are out in the corridors

The location of this hostel is really good. However, everywhere is kind of dirty of this hostel. I've been to the other hostels as well, they are very clean. I know that you want to make a horrible atmosphere for your guests, but we don't want to experience some weird insects sleeping with us. And the spider web is everywhere....oh my god. Anyway, I really like the tour! It's good to know the history of this jail, interesting.

Stayed here for the experience of staying in an old jail. The staff were pleasant. The kitchen looked good even though I didn't use it. It wouldn't hurt to sweep the floor in my room. Loads of hair and an old contact lens on the floor. Please note this place wasnt built for people's comfort and if that's what you need id consider somewhere else. If you want to stay somewhere which character then come here.
