The public area is huge and good but the rooms and the beds are terrible.

Filthy cold showers!!! Ants in the room! Unfriendly staff!! Good location! Overall poor standard of hostel and wouldnt recommend!

Good: location, location, location...and price. Also some staff is friendly. Bad: There direction to there place were wrong and cost me a taxi ride. No free internet. Haphazard record keeping. Take-it-or-leave-it attitude of some staff and walk up three floors to room. Too small common area. So-so breakfast. Tried to greatly overcharge me on my bill from what had been agreed upon ( but I believe just a genuine record keeping mistake on their part). Does not take credit cards.

This is probably the most run down hostel I've seen out of the 20 places I've stayed at in Brazil. The place is in sore need of renovation and doesn't come close to meeting the standards of other HI hostels in Brazil. The bedrooms and bathrooms are falling apart. It's a shame because the place is huge and has a pool, game room, backyard, and bar area. If it was actually renovated it could be one of the better hostels in Brazil because it's basically a self-contained resort.

Lovely big room (we were in a double across the road). Well organised excursions to see the Argentinian side of the falls.

I was not particularly impressed with this hostel. Security wise it was fine and it was cleanish. However, I found it lacking in character and I did not feel very welcome. The staff was helpful but not particularly friendly (with the exception of the driver to the Argentinian falls). There was nothing explicitly wrong with it but I just did not feel comfortable being there.

Great staff. Very helpful, especially Paulo and Benjamin... Loads of DVDs to watch (recommend you watch The Mission which is about the Guarani people and Iguazu). They can get you bus tickets and there is a lovely pool and a well furnished kitchen. Very social hostel. Strongly recommend you stay here.

Helpfull staff, cheap and very close bus to the waterfalls, the bridge o paraguay and to argentina. I enjoyed the pool!

Gostei muito do hostel. A única coisa que acho que pode melhorar é a limpeza dos banheiros. Sei que alguns hóspedes não colaboram mas acho que poderia ser feita uma limpeza mais completa do que já é realizada.

We really enjoyed our stay at HI Paudimar Falls. Everthing and erverbody was good.

Staff friendly but could be a bit pushy about selling their tours to the falls. Decent breakfast & kitchen as well as free internet. No restaurant but a smallish bar.

Overall a very good hostel except there was little to no vibe. It could be very different during the weekend and/or peak-season.
