I was disappointed that only couples (or two people) could reserve and enjoy the hot tub. I had been looking forward to that pleasure. Perhaps there could be one open slot for as many people as the tub accommodates without other limitations. It could be the last slot in the evening to give anyone a chance to sign up. Or simply let a single person reserve the tub.

Only thing I didn't like is the bed. They really need to change all the mattress. It was too soft and uncomfortable.

I like pigeon point light house hostel is a great plafe to stay. However when nights get to below 40 degrees, the tempeture needs to be auto matically raied to 72 degrees from 68 degeers regularly as the cold pernatrates as soon as the sun goes down. I wore long johns, sweat suit, and coat and was extremely cold until the tempeture was raised. One night the guy with the key was away until 8:30 or 9:00. I sat in the front room with the wool blanket wrapped around me. Sue

The kitchen was a bit sparse on pots and pans and even lighter on condiments such as salt and pepper or cooking oil. Because this location is not close to food stores I would suggest that folks be warned that they need to bring all of their food including all the basics, butter, oil, salt, pepper, and any spices.

We flew from Wisconsin to SFO, jumped in a rental car and found Pigeon Point Lighthouse for a wonderful first night in California! I made reservations online and everything worked out beautifully. Next time, we will stay for more than one night.
