This Hostel is hidden away from the busy road and nestled right next to a few great trails. It is a historic old home so it is small and the bathroom and showers are not as luxurious as one would hope, but if you have traveled all the way to this remote spot you aren't expecting much. It provides a warm bed and a clean kitchen and a comfy sitting room to wind down the day.

If you are looking for a hostel in a beautiful setting that is frequented by an usually older crowd (50+), this is the hostel for you. During our stay, our bunk mates went to bed early and woke up early (5am). The beds are comfortable and the kitchen facilities are really nice. There were no lockers in our dorm room, however there were small lockers located in the living room area of our building for valuables. There were a lot of bunks in our room and not very many places to put backpacks.

I loved everything about this experience! It was in the middle of incredible hiking, a short hike to the beach, in an adorable, rustic hostel with a spectacular view. Great for a relaxing weekend in the woods :). There's no Wifi or reception though, so be prepared to go off the grid!

Pros: During weekdays in the winter, the hostel is peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The staff (Jessica) is an efficient, friendly person, a firm enforcer, a terrific problem solver, and an all-round superstar. I prefer the quieter seasons, and am already planning my next trip during weekdays before the schools let out. Cons: The prices crept up over the past few years, and not all the guests follow kitchen rules/clean up after themselves.
