This was the best reviewed hostel for the best price I could find. So it may be the best hostel in QC, but I wasn't blown away by it. The character and atmosphere are great, as is the location, situated right in the heart of old Quebec. It's a great place to stay if you want to just walk around and enjoy the old culture. In terms of an exciting place for youth to stay it was average. I was able to find a bar crawl and meet some people but that's about it. Also facilities cost extra.

I think that including breakfats in the price would be a good idea.

Cool staff, great location, easy to find. Good food. Bit pricy though. Some of the ovens in the kitchen didn't work.

Very helpful staff, great location. Was in an 8bed dorm but dividing wall made it feel like I had a room to myself. Very comfortable and good, plentiful facilities. Definitely recommend it!

It was unconvenient that we could not use Wi-Fi in a room. Breakfast is expensive, even though there are nothing special.

Good basic breakfast every morning, and good showers which there were plenty off. Walls were thin and the hostel is full of very young people so noise was sometimes a problem at night. Staff were always friendly and really helpful. Amazing location right in the heart of the old town and near attractions, resaurants and the supermarket. Would stay again.

I stayed in the for nearly a week and had a really good time. The staff are great at helping out and arranging things. The issues were that I felt it was a little too expensive considering it was half empty, breakfast was not included at $30 a night. When the weather is really bad some English films would have been good or cable tv. You can only pay with cash in the bar which is a pain when cash machines are scarce in the city.

Overall, I had a good experience. The only issue I had (and other travellers aswell) was the internet kept login us out of the network every 5 minutes and sometimes the signal was so weak, you would have to wait a while until it would start working.

Unfortunately this Hostel, just did not have a homey feel that I love about Hostel's. I came to this one because of I've been to Hostel International before and they normally have been great. I think that this hostel has the potential, maybe if it was more busier during on-peak season. But yes it just felt quite lonely here at this hostel, kind of like a country inn or like the movie 'the shining' just a bit too desolated.
