A perfect hostel for old people and people with children! Very clean and nice but booring and only two people in the staff was helpfull and friendly and we met like 10 of them....

After being recommended this hostel, I was pretty underwhelmed by it. Other than one very helpful and friendly staff member (a girl with red hair and vintage style, I think her name began with C...), the rest of the staff were indifferent and cold. My room was very uncomfortable, due to sharing with 9 other people, 3 of whom snored. Almost no one spoke to each other, and I would regularly find the bedroom door hanging open. Poor atmosphere. Only one plug socket in our room, in an awkward place!

i think... If you choose this hostel, I can say to other guys this is the wonderful choice you can be prooud of you for long time. It has good accessablity to fisherman't wharf and good security thing. But the Wifi is so slow that I felt some pressure and I gave up using Wifi. Exept this thing this hostel so nice!!!

The location of this property is fantastastic. The hostel organises tours and dinners which were great but the movie nights were a bit hit and miss. The hostel is filthy. My room smelt damp and my mattress protector was disgusting. I darent look underneath. The springs in my mattress were also broken. My nearest bathroom had 1 toilet out if order, 1 sometimes working, and the showers were disgusting. Soap bacteria, mould, hair, just yucky. This hostel is not cheap - you are paying for location

Location is great, very close to bridge and Fisherman's Wharf! Also being able to view water and trees instead of city buildings is really nice. Cleanliness is not great and dorm was smelly (although window was open 24/7). Never had to wait for showers :). Locker underneath bed wasn't handy.

The best thing was the peaceful location. Right in the city but managing to be in some nature and quiet. Very easy to get to by car and can walk to other pier destinations. The cafe is a bit small in the mornings when everyone is eating breakfast, but its hard to complain about breakfast included in the price. My only complaint would be the door for the large dorm slams shut loudly, and with so many people staying in there, there are people in and out of the door constantly and in the night.

You can't beat the location or the price. The dorms are simple but fine and the communal areas are great - lounge, huge kitchen and a cinema! Views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from the hostel - unbelievable!

Nice place by the sea, clean, has atm, free wifi, a few minutes walking from the wharf. Staff was helpful, no complaints. Would stay here again.

A nice place to stay in SF. Staff was very kind. Clean rooms and toilets. Good and cheap food. Excellent ubication, in Fort Mason just above the Fisherman's Wharf and 20 min by walk from financial district. The bad part: well, you know, some of the other guests :b

This hostel is pretty awesome. If it wasnt for some dude going through withdrawal in the 24 bed dorm and a lack of under the bed lockers, this place would be one of our favorite hostels... Ever!

Great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of all the fisherman wharf activities. The free Breakfast is a joke, not even worth wasting your time.

Most overpriced hostel I ever stayed. Only stayed there because every hostel in the city was overbooked. Location is ok if you like walking or have a car. Even though it's called "Fisherman's Wharf", it's on a top of a hill, not really close to the Wharf, it takes you at least 10 min walking to get to the nearest bus stop. The men's bathroom was terrible.. old and dirty. The room is ok, quite simple. Breakfast was pretty good. The staff was always helpfull and kind. The lounge is nice too.

Hostel is amazing an old Military Fort. Anybody can just walk in no security in entrance. Great location. Staff not very educated in serving guest need more hospitality training, also not very informative to new guests of where everything is recommend map printout of building for new guest. Good atmosphere. Restrooms need to be cleaned constantly. Radiator heaters need to be replaced by modern ones. Excellent value for money. Facilities need to be informed of them not to be hunting for them.

We booked beds for 6. We were the first to check in, but we were 1/2 hour early. We went for a walk to the wharf. When we returned, the other 2 persons must have thought they had the room to themselves, as they were spread out all over; they had to clean off bunks, so we could sleep. They took up more room and floor space than the 6 of us combined. An older lady in our room left twice during the night and propped the door. I closed it and she used her card to get back in.
