A really great hostel. My only complaint is that you have to pay to use the lockers. Every dorm that I have been in has free lockers for use by the people sleeping in the dorms. Other than that, I love it here!

A pleasure. Reflects much of what brings people to Thailand. I recommend it & plan to return there.

I enjoyed the stay in the hostel pretty much. It's not really on the cheap side though. But i like the environement-friendly attitude of the hostel. It could have used a fan at the rooftop, and maybe some hammocks would be great as well. The staff is pretty nice and have a generally decent knowledge of the english language. I am definitely coming back, would be great if the prices would decrease a bit though :-) see you, herwig

I've been to this hostel a few times since 2007, and I still love it. Location is great, right next to the BTS. It's clean and cozy. The staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

1)The afternoon I checked in, Jan. 26th, - I couldn't believe how helpful and nice the woman working at the time, was. Super!. 2) I really appreciated my room. 3) I wish I would have known the following upon checking in: a) that someone would be coming into my room when I was out ie: to leave more water - because I left things out that I wouldn't have left out, had I known someone was coming in; b) I wish there was a real reading light by the bed instead of the one bedside light that is there.

Great place to stay in Bangkok. Right near the BTS trains, great street food outside, clean and helpful staff. I'd definitely stay again.

Great hostel; its high rating is well earned. One thing you should know before getting a Bangkok Hostel, though, is to get a hostel near the things you want to see, because Bangkok is large and difficult to traverse. Sukhumvit is rather far from the cultural sights. If you're going to tour wats, for instance, consider something closer to Wat Pho or the Grand Palace. HI-Sukhumvit's proximity to a skytrain station is huge plus though.

I liked the location. The room was full of smelly people, so I slept on the roof, which was very enjoyable. When I decided to leave a day early, the staff gave me back the money I had prepaid, which was awesome.

Please tell other travellers to bring a pair of ear plugs if they want to rest more deeply. Even on the highest floor of rooms, there was a lot of noise from traffic in the street below. This hostel provided a good location and also a good price value for that part of Bangkok. I appreciated having computers and laundry machines right there for our use. And the staff was very friendly. I would go back and stay there again if I needed to in the future--thank you.

I have stayed at this hostel before, and it was absolutely fantastic. I loved the atmosphere and enjoyed the upstairs terrace. This time I enjoyed it but felt a little bit too hot, and didn't enjoy the fact that while my room was IR CONDITIONED THE MAIN SITTING AREA WAS NOT. HOWEVER, I would recommend this hostel to other people staying in Bangkok, because it has a wonderful location, the staff are friendly, and the facilities were good.

After the craziness of Bangkok it was a relief to get back here every day. The hostel has an open, airy feel, and the rooftop terrace is an ideal place to sit day or night & look across the skyline with a beer. My room was big and clean & there's plenty of shared toilets/showers. Friendly staff and free internet. I was slightly worried about the distance to the centre but as only 2 mins from Skytrain (cheap & easy to use) this was not a problem at all. Lovely night market appears just outside!

It's on soi 38 in sukhmvit right next to the night market for food - so that was great - hotel itself is nice and the beds are clean and i had the best sleep here - the AC is fabulous. But it has 3 flights of sstairs and unfortunately this time i had a roll-on and it was horrible lugging it up and back down. I had a backpack the last time and it wasn't so bad I guess....it's also close to the skytrain - like 2 minutes - so that was perfect to go to MBK, Nana etc. The staff is rude ..i dunno why.

This hotel is super clean, modern and nice. The room and shared bathrooms were very cleaned, the wifi was working very well. The complementary breakfast was nice. There's a laundry/dryer service. There's a rooftop to chill, a book exchange... The 'no party afer midnight" is useful so everyone gets his sleep. The hotel is close to the skytrain and a street market at night. However, we still though it was a bit pricy for a room with shared bathroom.

Nice little hostel in a nicer area of Bangkok. Had I been a traveler with more money the nicer places around would have been more useful but it is still located on a cool street with lots of backpacker friendly food stands and places to eat. Would stay there again.

I stayed 5 nights in dorm at this hostel.. Hostel is in good condition, clean, there is good bathrooms and you can clean your clothes with machine. There is nice downstairs lobby and roofterrace where peoples hang out and meet each others.. Really nice atmosphere. Staff was really friendy, skytrain is really close and there is food stalls on that street.. I have nothing bad to say about this place and I am definitely booking it again!

The hostel looked older than it used to be The air conditioner was quite warm at rm 203.the blanket didn't smell fresh frm laundry and so with the pillows.it would have been a perfect stay if these issues were ok.will try again next time.
