If the YHA in Bangkok provides facility like kitchen as found in other YHAs in New Zealand and Australia, I believe more people would like to come.

I've had my problems with the luggage storage because there is no key to the room. So at least every guest can go into the room without being noticed. Please at least put a key at the counter and open the room only on guests' demand. And telling that no theft occured before doesn't mean there will never be one. Aside from this the place is really nice.

I couldn't believe how nice this hostel was... they have an amazing airy patio/lounge area in addition to nice, clean rooms and bathrooms. It's also charmingly decorated and right next to a station and small night food market. I would definitely stay again.

location very near to BTS & food street, great security, very clean, quiet place n cozy to stay, nice room but kinda old. shared bathroom is very clean, even tough I prefer there's water hose rather than toilet paper only in the toilet, but it's worth to stay.

Such a lovely experience. The lobby has nice indoor/outdoor spaces to connect with other travelers; the upstairs garden and hangout space is fantastic. Rooms, bathrooms, common areas all immaculately clean. Location is ideal for catching BTS to anywhere! Far enough off the main busy street to be quiet and safe, but close enough to be convenient. Shops nearby for necessities and more, and the food stands that really get going after dark on the street have a wonderful variety to choose from.

The day staff was really a sourpuss. I actually stayed there for 5 days and nowhere did i notice friendly interaction or helpfulness from the day staff. That was the first time I have observed such an atmosphere in a hostel I've stayed in. The saving features for me was its proximity to Sukhumvit and the BTS.

This is by far one of the best places I have stayed in South East Asia. It's not a party hostel which they make clear to everyone, it's more of a mellow hostel but it's right center in the hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit and located on the Sukhumvit Soi 38 Street which has an amazing night food market, where you can eat some of the best street food in the whole of Bangkok. The staff is super friendly although the cleaning girl kept looking at everyone a bit angrily, maybe she's sick of cleaning?

The hostel was clean and the staff nice. What really surprised me, was the fact that the taxi driver gave the staff 100 barth before driving us. It seems like he had to pay for the privilege that they are calling him?! We paid 350 barth for the taxi, that means that the hostel takes alomost one third of it... I don't know if that"s the Thai way, but I did not like this fact!

Nice atmosphere. Clean. Really close to the skytrain. Mini breakfast is good. Our room was quiet/big enough/good bathroom. Staff could use some english lessons. We liked it although it could be a little cheaper for what it is.

This was the first hostel I stayed at the beginning of my travels and I was very pleased to pick it. I felt safe and they have lots of information on things to do in Bangkok and surrounding areas. Also real good for meeting other travellers as many people chill out downstairs in the afternon/evening.

The HI-Sukhumvit hostel is a great option if you want to stay far of the noise and crazyness from Bangkok, but still close to the public transport. The rooms were quite confortable (great value of the AC in the room!!) and clean, as well as the other facilities in the hostel. The light breakfast was fine and just perfect to go along the planning of the day in Bangkok

Great location meters from Thong Lo BTS station in a thriving part of town. Very clean, nice, and well kept, includes a rooftop terrace and front garden. Free breakfast is an added bonus. Not the cheapest around but worth the extra few dollars to be near everything you could need and away from the garbage that is khao san road.
