This is a very simple well kept hostel and the staff is lovely. Being so close to the BTS is a blessing and the street food just around the corner is excellent!

I loved my stay. I would defintely loved to come back sometime soon. The staff was absolutely amazing, super friendly, welcoming just as any other Thai people. The hostel had a wonderful roof top terrace, which was very nicely arranged with floweres, and funny little sculptures. I have extended my stay with couple more nice, as i really did enjoy the atmospahre, that was absolutely no problem here. Breakfast was nice, and just ok to start a very hot day in Bangkok!thank you all!!

The people I meet in this hostel have -unlike in many backpacker's around South-East-Asia- always been very friendly and interesting, not necessarily iPhone-toting and there's a lot of nice chatting going on in the common areas. I've stayed in this hostel twice now and I'm still not disappointed. Prices are a bit on the high side but that keeps the weeds out.

HI-Skuhumvit is easily in the best part of Bangkok, and has a safe, clean atmosphere. It really is a quality hostel.

There ist no pool - at least I did not see one or any signs pointing it out. The walls are pretty thin, but so it I had to stop the girls in the neighbouring room which were singing at midnight. Afterwards I could sleep well. The aircon is a bit too cold, so it is useful to set is to 30- 35 degre C. The staff is wonderful and the area great. Easy to find. I would definitely come back. The roof garden is also nice, but bring moskitospray.

HI-Sukhumvit is in a very lively part of Bangkok, especially for going out at night. It's easy to find because it's right next to the train station, which also makes it easy to get other places. The staff were friendly and helped us in planning the rest of our trip in Thailand. The air-conditioned rooms and roof garden definitely made it worth the money.

Usually i'm too lazy to write comments. But this hostel is so fine that it would be unjust not to thank the amazing people who run it! Atmosphere they create is warm and relaxed and having a spacious lounge on the roof and a kithchen downstairs are great options.

Hostel was so lovely, felt so safe and at home there. Staff are so sweet and go out of your way to help you. Location is right next to the sky train so it's perfect to get around. Restaurants just down the road, so perfect. Really lovely hostel. Great value for money and free wifi and breakfast, so that's awesome! must stay there! You won't regret it.

A really great hostel. My only complaint is that you have to pay to use the lockers. Every dorm that I have been in has free lockers for use by the people sleeping in the dorms. Other than that, I love it here!

Mr. Pit was available when I arrived from the airport very late at night and was very accomodating. The staff helped me get around town and provided me with an easy map to read. They also graciously mailed a postcard for me. I was impressed with the simple, clean room (en suite) and bathroom. It was very nice having drinking water in the room as well. I will recommend this hostel to others.

A pleasure. Reflects much of what brings people to Thailand. I recommend it & plan to return there.

I enjoyed the stay in the hostel pretty much. It's not really on the cheap side though. But i like the environement-friendly attitude of the hostel. It could have used a fan at the rooftop, and maybe some hammocks would be great as well. The staff is pretty nice and have a generally decent knowledge of the english language. I am definitely coming back, would be great if the prices would decrease a bit though :-) see you, herwig

1)The afternoon I checked in, Jan. 26th, - I couldn't believe how helpful and nice the woman working at the time, was. Super!. 2) I really appreciated my room. 3) I wish I would have known the following upon checking in: a) that someone would be coming into my room when I was out ie: to leave more water - because I left things out that I wouldn't have left out, had I known someone was coming in; b) I wish there was a real reading light by the bed instead of the one bedside light that is there.

Great hostel; its high rating is well earned. One thing you should know before getting a Bangkok Hostel, though, is to get a hostel near the things you want to see, because Bangkok is large and difficult to traverse. Sukhumvit is rather far from the cultural sights. If you're going to tour wats, for instance, consider something closer to Wat Pho or the Grand Palace. HI-Sukhumvit's proximity to a skytrain station is huge plus though.
