Great hostel: central location, HUGE BREAKFAST, loads of activities, friendly staff. Don't expect a crazy atmosphere during wintertime thou. 4 bed dorms get smelly pretty quickly but if you get to know your roomates they turn out safer than 30 bed dorms in other hostels. Free tours of the city are offered and are pretty interesting. Make sure you check one of the local breweries. And bring an umbrella too!

Fantastic location in Vancouver on the main street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Offered a lot of extra activities. The shared bathrooms were very modern and spacious and there always seemed to be one free. Beds in the private rooms were a little hard but had their own TV. Cheap HI memberships mean the room rate is great value (especially if you're planning to stay at other HI hostels).

Unfriendly staff (never smiling), I was almost expecting a punch in my face while getting the key, the entire floor smells really bad (!!!), the bathroom in our room was dirty, and Samesun across the street was better, cleaner and cheaper!

Better to have a real kitchen. Otherwise, it is a nice place to be.

The staff was really rude and not helpful. Also the bathrooms could be more clean. All in all I didn't like the atmosphere in that hostel. It was not a pleasant stay.

T'was a great stay. If you have a room fronting the main street, like I did, this can be noisy at times. But every good traveler will have ear plugs. Overall I was impressed at the service and the cleanliness of the bathrooms.

This hostel was pretty basic - bed, TV and shower in the room, all of which were ok but nothing was that outstanding in the hostel. The breakfast was mediocre, but you can't really complain when it's free. It was a good location and not that noisy, so choose it if you want somewhere central and you're not too fussed on staying somewhere flashy.

I really can't fault this place at all - if I had to, it would be that they had no cooker in the kitchen so you're not able to cook your own food, but that aside, the staff were awesome, the place just caters for the people staying there so much, the location is brilliant, and the breakfast is something that you wouldn't get bored of while there - next time I'm in Vancouver, I'll be staying here again :)

I had the best stay!! Well looked after and so comfortable! The restrooms where always clean and tidy and the lounge was a great place to chill out in. The receptionist called me a taxi at 5:30 in the morning and it was great service through and through!! Totally recommend to everyone!! I will be staying there again for sure!

Nice hostel, comfortable and safe although could with a deep clean. Badly stained carpets and blocked drain in the bedroom wash basin was unpleasant. However, i would stay here again

Location and the the character of this hostel is great. You couldn't ask for a more central location for Downtown Vancouver. You can literally get to all the places of interest with a quick walk. I stayed in a private double with en suite toilet. It was a nice room, complete with TV - for those weary hangover mornings.
