Does what its says on the tin, it is large and a bit institutional, but excellent value and secure.. Friendly staff

Good location and exactly what you'd expect facilities-wise from an HI. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices and fresh stuff everyday. There were a few activities organised by the hostel which I always try and do although generally these ones came with a fee. Staff were helpful although sometimes distracted. We were efficiently moved rooms after an issue with a roommate outside of our group which solved the problem with us, but in my opinion the offending person shouldve been moved instead

The room was tiny and way too warm, storage space was way too small for a suitcase, and overall room had no character. Moreover, the average age of guests is approx 45. I wouldnt mind unless the older guests did not demand silence and early hours of sleep from other younger guests.

Nice hostel, great location in Davie Village and close to downtown but also close to the beach and quiet. Quite expensive but then all hostels in Vancouver are. Comfortable and clean and provided free breakfast.

My first stay there, and it\ People were friendly with one another, perhaps because they were not publicly engrossed in their laptops! The dining area is a friendly shape, kitchen really spotless, everything shipshape throughout, and the staff so helpful and cheerful. Their telephone friendliness is also a treat. In addition, I was helped to acquire a replacement membership card for my lost one. Made a huge difference to my stay in Van., arriving v. tired and leaving refreshed

I missed reserving parking facility, was there a reminder on the (web) registration form that I overlooked. If not, it may be valuable to add that. I love staying at hostels, you have instant friends.

I enjoyed my visit. I was treated very well. I would stay there again. That is the best indication of this establishment. Everyone was professional. This is a great hostel. My only suggestion would be additional lighting in the room. Either a small light even a cheap led light on the bed would be a great help when someone has already gone to bed and you're trying ro be polite and not wake them up.

Was a great stay there. You could really get some sleep there. Breakfast was very tasty. Lockers are great when you are travelling with e.g. a Laptop

We had a private room and it was great. We had a shared bathroom but I didn't ever have to wait. The facilities were great (including the kitchen) and breakfast was great! Would definitely stay there again.

I was ill while there, but do not yet understand the source. The response from the staff was mixed, but overall a little strange. Fantastic facilities, enjoyed the sun roof and the library, those were great. I left two special books in your library. On the down side, the bathroom second floor smelled of urine most of the time, and one of the commodes was not connected to the floor (yes I told maintenance). There were no soap dishes in the showers.

Great place to stay, but the atmosphere was a little lacking. To be fair to the hostel they put on fun activities every day/night, but the people there were all pretty contained. Might have just been a boring crop of tourists!

Very clean and neat hostel. It's also good to make me clean:) Facilities for washing are great like a bathroom&showeroom and the room(dorm) with sink. Staffs are kind and helpful. I will definitely stay again! But, hope the room has a private light on the bed:)
