I was truly disappointed with HQ Hostel. It appears so nice on the video, but in reality it lacks character and atmosphere. Rooms were very dark and very small. Lockers provided were very small as well, so that only valuables could be stored. It wasn´t very social either. Lub D Silom and Siam are much better choices!

The hostel is in a great location, it's right between 2 BTS skytrain stops. At night you can easily get taxis to take you back to the hostel. If you want to go to Khao San Road then maybe this isn't the hostel for you because that is farther away, however I love this area of Bangkok. The rooms were clean with great beds. The only problem I had was that I booked a room for 8 people and they made our group split into two rooms. Girls and guys sharing one bathroom was a bit odd as well but whatever

GREAT hostel! Very clean, comfortable beds, good facilities (free w-fi AND free use of computers with internet) and located close to the Skytrain. Very handy location if you like to be close to the modern heart of Bangkok. Bit pricey, but worth it. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Enjoyed my stay at this hostel and made some new friends. I think more can be done with the WiFi signal though as it was very bad and I kept getting disconnected. Had slight concern about security as some travellers kept forgetting to close the main door which led to the rooms. But overall, had a nice time and would be back to stay the next time I was in BKK.

The price is consider a bit high for hostel standard. The hot water did not work well in toilet.

The hostel was a great place for budget trips. Close to public transportation, 24hours open door so i could come back and go anytime. Though i didnt try the promotion (free cocktail for new yr eve, as i remember, for instance), i can see that the hostel offers good time for travellers. Also, internet was awesome.

Brilliant place to stay - very backpacker friendly!! The public-use computers are wonderful, as is the security to the rooms (requiring the swipe card). Great value for money - would return!

The staff were great. My favorite part was the common room with the beanbag chairs and lots of movies. It was a great way to meet people. I plan to return to this hostel next time I'm in Bangkok.
