Originally booked dorms but upgraded to a little bungalow. Great location. Quiet off season but there are some cool little beach bars nearby to go to. Nice staff and good pool.
Positives: - Fairly good value for money (in comparison to others), - Many rooms so good opportunity to meet people, - Away from Had Rin, an area fine for full moon but not for 4 days! - Staff friendly. Negatives: - Rooms not really cleaned during time stayed (5 days) - Do not buy tickets for Jungle Party as it leads to a manic queue. Always buy at the venue. - Could have done with a bit of variance to the bar music/ atmosphere to attract more residents to the bar/ communal area.

Had the most amazing stay at Haciendas! All the staff are lovely and extremely welcoming, they clearly want everyone to have the best time possible during their stay. As a solo traveller I couldn't have stayed at a better hostel. Would recommend this hostel to anyone and everyone!
Great hostel, dorms spacious but basic, shower was a bit rubbish and the lockers are small but beds ok and very clean. Restaurant serves great cheap Thai food (go to Hacienda Resort, 5 minute walk for way better menu!). Pool area was nice but could do with more sun loungers/cushions. Ben + Danielle try really hard to organise parties etc. so very easy to get tickets etc. Well away from the full moon action but not much in a taxi and means you can get a good nights sleep! Would recommend!
The managers, Ben and Danielle, are genuinely incredible. Nothing is too much effort - even bringing us desserts from the resort just because their restaurant was out! The hostel has a "we won't disturb your room unless you give us your key at reception to have it cleaned" policy which is good in theory but the guys at the restaurant blast music from 9am which generally wakes people anyway. They memorise every guest's name, restaurant has ace food, & the rooms have incredible air conditioning.
