Hacienda Resort and Hacienda Backpackers next door are the perfect combination of chilled out relaxing by pool and partying before a big night out. Ben and Danielle at the Backpackers are awesome, helping to organise everything and creating a brilliant atmosphere! Staff at the Resort were really nice and helpful too!
Awesome staff! i stayed in a bungalow near to the restaurant, so i had good internet connection, but the more expensive rooms in front of the reception are not worth at all, they dont have wifi and bathrooms are..well not really nice. But the pool is great and if you walk like 10-15 mins the beach is nice too. Also its just a good walk from the pier, so you dont really need a taxi.
Great place when going for the Full Moon Party, staff was helpful and giving tips of what to do. The pool bar does tend to have music going on until midnight, so if your room is facing the pool directly, expect some noise. Beach is small, but there is access to swim in the sea if the pool isn't enough.
The restaurant/bar staff were lovely. Reception were terrible! Reception was 90% unmanned and when reception staff were there they weren't very helpful or polite. When it came to leaving the hotel charged us for 2 bed sheets and 1 pillow case for 'neon paint' on inspection the mark was only on 1 sheet and the mark was less than a 1p coin and we could've easily cleaned this if we had known it was there! They also tried charging another traveller for mini bar items they hadn't had. Be warned!
