Hostel was in a shambles when I was there!
loved staying here was a great atmosphere, our host Manuela was very informative and a great caring host, we ended up staying longer there because of this hostels location and people that were there at the time, very friendly bunch. free bike rental, small charge for washing , has a great pool and close to shops, 45 mins walk to a cenote , and 10 mins away from beach and main street of playa . hopefully run into you again Manuella , Justin and Amanda
+awesome internet connection + manuela was very nice + barbeque was fun + generally clean - location - price for the ubication was to high
Really liked this hostel. Very clean, and the owner encourages a friendly sociable environment. Most people mark location down here but to me it was a plus: you get to see a real suburb away from the Americanised centre, and there are some great cheap food places nearby! This will be one of the best hostels on my 6 month trip, of that I am sure. All the best Manuela! Peter
This was my first experience using a hostel, and loved my time there, but have nothing to compare it too. I loved that this hostel was in the rural part of Playa and yet only a 15 walk into the main strip. I met some awesome people and went on lots of great adventures. I felt safe in the neighborhood at all times of the day and night. The Hostel's pool was enjoyed many times.

This is one of the best hostel i've been to! Manuela is just awesome, she is nice, friendly and very helpful!
Although the welcome was great, we found that this place has no good atmosphere and overbearing owner who would rather sit around drinking and complaining about bills and bad guests than working to make this hostel as fantastic as it could be. Not that clean, and the rooms are very stuffy. Pros: pool is nice, free bikes to get to the beach are good, but overall wouldn't recommend.
We absolutely loved staying at this hostel, Manuela was the perfect host and very welcoming. The information she gave us was invaluable and she gave us lots of tips for the area. We would recommend this hostel to all, we haven't got a bad word to say, we would definitely love to go back in the future. Thanks for all your help Manuela, Ben and Stacey xxx
More like a budget hotel than a hostel, very spacious, clean and the bonus of a very nice pool to relax in. Even though it is a half an hour walk from the beach, I really liked the location and felt like I was really seeing a bit of real Mexico, fascinating walking around the streets and lots of good cheap places to eat, drink and supermarkets to buy stuff. Manuela the hostel owner is great, welcoming and helps with any information. Free drinks a bonus on a Monday night!

As stated it is out of the main down town but there are local supermarkets and cafes in the area. Very large communal area with regular social events means it is great for solo travellers. Sometimes with big groups of backpackers cleanliness a challenge. Very spacious and security is excellent here.
This place was awesome! Manuela made us feel completely at home. She offered us free drinks, did our washing and checked up on us when we were unwell. Couldn't recommend this hostel more! Thanks Manuela :)
Great place, incredibly accommodating and perfectly placed.
Even though the hacienda was a little bit out of the city center it was easy to get into town with the free bikes offered by Manuela, the manager, or the colectivo buses. She was extremely helpful and accommodating and just a dream lady! Fellow travelers sanctuary!

Amazing Hostel! The hostel is located a Little bit remote, but thats perfect. The beach can be reached within 5 minutes by colectivo. Tasty Food and a Supermarket is around the Corner. Highly recommended.
We had a great time in this hostel with the staff and we also had a nice bbq together Nice pool and bikes for free. kitchen very clean. we recomend this place! Gracias por todo Manuela :)
I stayed in a single room which was spacious, with a private bathroom, balcony, and AC. It looked like a hotel, for only $30/night! The hostel is very clean (part is a house), and Manuela went out of her way to make guests feel welcome including Monday happy hour. Although the hostel is far from the beach, there are bicycles free to borrow, and you can take a taxi (30 pesos) or small bus (collectivo, 5 pesos) into town. Many cheap places to eat nearby, would definitely stay again!
Wow!! You feel at home from the start. Manuela(owner/world traveler) and Romero did everything possible to accommodate me from showing me the local area to answering questions or getting answers, to socializing. Romero personally took me to the pharmacy and hardware stores. Manuela looked like a humming bird as she made her way around the hostel. Remember it is a hostel those wanting a hotel, stay on the beach and pay 3-4 times the price. A 2 day reservation will become a 2-3 week stay !!!
