we didn't really enjoy our stay. Haggis hostel didn't want to give us back the 10 pound deposit for the key because we left 30 minutes after the check out (10:00). If you pay with your credit card you need to add 50 pence of charges. lots of hidden fees...

The staffs are all friendly and cool. Dorm is ok, shower room is good, has place to leave our own stuff and to dry. Kitchen is well equipped, breakfast is ok. Some negative points: quite noisy, we can hear people chatting on the street during the night and people who clean the street in the early morning. No lift, Not easy to moving baggage to rd floor with circling stairs.

The bed is suck. I sleep in the lower part of the bed and I can hardly sit up straight. It would be good to replace those bed. Also, the room is so small that if it is fully occupied, people can hardly turn around. There is no drawer or enough hanger for clothes in the room. It is located above a pub so it is noisy in weekend, you can hardly sleep well. And it is not reasonable to charge 2 pound for leaving the luggage in hostel after check out, usually it is FREE.

Good hostel to stay in. The staff are nice and friendly, and everything is kept very clean. A complimentary breakfast is provided, the rooms are secure, and the location is excellent (right off of Princes Park). No wifi, but they have free computers. The only downside is the common room is very small, so meeting other backpackers can be a bit of a challenge. Would recommend it!

Haggis hostels is an okay place to sleep in the heart of Edinburgh. There's beds, breakfast and it's very clean. However, it's not really a fun place, no atmosphere and not really a place to meet others. You also have to pay extra for everything (wifi, lockers, towels). Matresses not really comfortable (springs coming through), but i was told they will be replaced soon.

Considerate staff, very helpful. The beds weren't very comfortable - could feel the springs through the mattress. Everything very clearn.

While booking Haggis Hostel I ve already seen that it's near the city center. But that it was only 3 min from train station to stand in front of my bed was amazing. Very kind staff giving tips for traveling. Fruits at brackfast was unexpected but good. Next time in Edinburgh I ll go to Haggis again!

Clean welcoming hostel with friendly knowledgible locals and comfy beds - great central location with bus and train station within 200m - fruit and pastries with breakfast was a nice touch - having to pay for wifi and luggage storage was its only down fall

Prices were high everywhere as it was NYE - it cost £115 to stay for one night in a dorm bed. The staff are super friendly & very welcoming. There was a welcome pack & they showed me around. It's only a small hostel, facilities are good, but it could use more toilets. There was free haggis & whiskey after midnight. I did get stung for late check out, which I felt could have been overlooked considering it was new year's day & the initial cost of the dorm. Overall great hostel, amazing location!

Brand new hostel and few guests, so hard to rate fun. Very clean. Springs almost coming through mattresses, I think the mattresses were upside down. Annoying that they charge to store bags. Super friendly staff, very helpful.
