Directions to the hostel were very clear and the location is close to food markets, banks and shopping areas which was ideal for our one night stay. The building is a bit old, but the shower/toilet facilities worked just fine. Everything was clean, but the bed was very hard (but a lot of beds in Asia are). Staff were very helpful and most speak English. Recommended.

I liked the hostel. The food (pizza and sandwich) was delicious and the staff very friendly. There is a great area to hang out on the first floor. The only bad thing was the shower which was in the middle of the toilet. Also, the towel which you can rent at the reception for free were gross, so bring your own!

Really enjoyed my stay here! The staff were friendly and helpful, and even left me a personalized note when I checked in very late at night. :) Great value for the money and loved the surrounding area.

The whole staff is friendly, hard working and very much helpful. We specially liked the location because of the local fruit market, night food market and local eateries in the vicinity.

This is by far the dirtiest hostel I've seen in China. I've stayed in some pretty bad ones too. I arrived at around 8:00 pm and after seeing three different rooms, decided it wasn't for me. There are stray cats, dogs and God knows what else running around. These aren't the adorable animals you want to pet either. These are sickly looking street beasts. The staff couldn't speak English nor were they helpful in any way. The location is average, but it's really hard to find.

The staff couldn't speak English as well as the homepage indicated. They could answer your questions but wouldn't give any tourist information at all. Bad knowledge of for example how to get to Sanya, better to ask other tourists. They had millions of DVD's, some books, and pool table. Bad thing was breakfast only after 8:00 and pizza ( ~60 yen ) only 20:00 to 21:00 wed-sun. Their cats and dogs try to get your food while you are eating :(. Doubled price in new year, wasn't close to full.

Staff were a little rude when we arrived, and kind of thought the cleaning lady wanted to beat me up for a while. But the owner seems like a cool dude. It was a little expensive, but this was due to Chinese new year.

The place isn't in the best condition. The screen in the window fell out because its support frame wasn't fixed in place. Bathroom had a lot of mold. Remote for AC/heater didn't work despite changing batteries. Kitchen has limited service Monday and Tuesday. A housekeeper asked me to marry her. Overall, not satisfied.

The place seemed a bit organized - with reservations, directions, deposit, etc. It was hard getting clear directions and help. Thankfully, there was a manager (?) that was a native English speaker - not sure of his name or where he was from, but he was a big help. If hadn\'t had been there, I would give a poorer rating.

I liked my stay there, but it wasn't as expected after reading about in in the lonely planet. I did expected some organized acticities as mentioned in the travelling guide. But this might be just a missunderstanding from my side...
