What fun we had at The Hairy Lemon!! Our total gratitude goes to lovely Nina, our source of knowledge, guidance and endless DELICIOUS pancakes!!! Totally worth getting up for, even if you are catching a 7am bus!The hostel is really funky and comfortable. A little out of the centre but manageable and wothwhile for the spectacular views! You will be staying with Annette in her new apartment. Beds are great, very comfortable. Everything is new and clean. Lovely balconies, right on a small beach. It's about 15 mins walk from the main strip but Annette picks up from a central bar. Annette is a sesasoned traveller herself and knows what her guests need. We have been out for 5 weeks and this is the cleanest hostel we have stayed at. Our room had a balcony that viewed the sea. Lynnette was very sweet and gave us info on everything we needed. She even woke up early to make us delicious pancakes before we left. Would stay again in a heart beat!We have been out for 5 weeks and this is the cleanest hostel we have stayed at. An awesome hostel..... in an apartment right on the beach! Good fun too.... beach BBQ with the best fish ever. The hairy lemon is a hostel blended with the familiar atmosphere of a guest house. Literally impossible not to meet freindly people and situated right near some of albanias most beautiful beaches. There were plenty of people there alone and i was there with a big group. Everything is good, balcony has good view of saranda, but more beautiful are the hills and ocean around it. Some cool abandoned buildings next door that you can go up for a laugh. Everyone who stayed there had a v. good time.The hairy lemon is a hostel blended with the familiar atmosphere of a guest house. Run by the very friendly and hospitable Annette, the hostel is ın a large apartment complex, is modern, clean, and close to the heart of Sarande (10 mins walk). Unfortunately I cant really recommend Sarande itself - a better bet would be to catch a bus 30 mins further south to Ksamil where you will find nicer beaches and a village atmosphere.
