This was definitely the best hostel I have stayed in so far, we were only there for one night but it was so clean and felt like home would definitely recommend it!! The staff were really friendly and welcoming! 10/10 all round!
Kind of far from the airport. No other complaints.
Nice place - plenty of space and great view over the lake.
Free wifi would have been great but this place is gorgeous, a shame that is so far away from city center.
it's like a big house didn't really feel like a hostel shame it's away from the city but easy access to get to, also gets to the beach easy
We stayed for two nights. We had a car so the hostel was easily accessible but it was about a 15 minute drive from central Christchurch and I'm not sure what the public transport was like. The place was nice and we had no problems with it. The only negative I found was that you couldn't do your own washing, you had to pay $7 to get it washed and dried externally.
Haka Lodge was excellent! It was great to have a spacious kitchen, cooking utensils, tv and lounge area for a really good price! Not far from city center. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Best hostel in Christchurch, possibly New Zealand.
Such a nice little hostel! Not too big so it was easy to meet some really fun people. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern and there are 2 adorable resident cats. Owners were so welcoming and outgoing too which made me feel right at home on my first night in NZ
