Best hostel in Christchurch, possibly New Zealand.
Such a nice little hostel! Not too big so it was easy to meet some really fun people. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern and there are 2 adorable resident cats. Owners were so welcoming and outgoing too which made me feel right at home on my first night in NZ
We had originally only booked one night here but ended up booking our last night in NZ here as well as we were so impressed by the place. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially on knowing where the good places to go were, such as the brewery, cafe's and where to go in the city centre. The rooms were clean, showers immaculate and they had a cat, which being a cat lover is awesome! About a 5 min drive from city centre, but we had a car so no probs there. Would def stay again!

The hostel was really small. Not necessarily a bad thing but it wasn't what i was looking for.
The hostel itself was lovely. Stayed in a '6-bedroom' apartment, which was well furnished and clean. However, there was what I think to be a very questionable labeling of the price on Hostelworld. In fine print, you are notified that the price listed on Hostelworld is just for 2 people, and each additional person will be $25, although this is NOT clear on the website. The staff notified us upon leaving that they have taken up this issue with Hostelworld.com
A really lovely, peaceful hostel. Perfect place if you need a night to chill out. Staff were really friendly. I would stay here again
I wish I could have stayed here longer! Very clean, very homey, I felt like I was staying in a friend's cabin. No bunkbeds, which was a nice change. All the beds are on the ground. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I loved staying here. The only thing that was hard was that it was difficult to find, and the bus drivers sent me on the wrong routes several times. But it was worth it to stay in such a great place!
Nice facilities. Tv room had great cable tv and all the rooms had tv with good channel selection. Room had a nice balcony. Also it was very cold outside but heat plate was great at keeping room warm! Hot water and gas for stove ran out in the afternoon. Gas for stove was quickly replaced.
The lodge was excellent! Lots of space and it was great to have the kitchen, cooking utensils, tv and lounge area for a really good price! Not a far drive from city centre. Only issue was there was that the hot water wasn't working properly for our stay.
