Frankly, I couldn't ask for more! Its in a perfect location, surrounded by shops and old temples that are the location of local festivals, and VERY close to the main train station, to the port and on the Kuko (airport) line so directly from there was only 4 stops. It was very inexpensive, yet offered free wifi, free coffee and tea, the bed was cozy and clean, too. One thing - when you emerge from the train station, exit 5, just turn LEFT and walk. It is on your right near the end of the "arcade"

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave me a lot information and leaflets on what I could do around Fukuoka and other neighbouring cities. I stayed in the 4person dorm and it was a bit on the smaller side. Some might find it a bit too claustrophobic if all 4 guests were in. I would recommend this hostel to those who prefer a more quiet atmosphere. The location is a huge bonus as it is located in the arcade and right by Canal City with other attractions within walking distance!

Nice little place, easy to walk everywhere. Didn't stay much time actually in the hostel, as we wanted to explore at night, too, but it was an easy base to get back to and the dorm was really cheap.

Not for a long stay... small rooms, it was an hotel before, so they turned single/double rooms into 4 beds dormitories... But it was ok. Don't expect any great atmosphere though. A clean, quite, safe place to sleep for 1 night. In the room you have hairdryer, torch, slippers, shampoo. And the location is also good, close to the nightlife district, a huge shopping center (canal city), the main shopping area (Tenjin, about 10min) and the station (about 10min).

At a really good location, right next to Canal city, train stations, and the port. Some interesting temples are located right next to the hostel, and supermarkets as well. The hostel is clean and the staff is friendly, though the lounge is only so-so. It's more like a hotel than a hostel in terms of atmosphere but it is really comfortable.

Really nice and helpful staff, however getting to the hostel was quite confusing and hard. Directions were terrible, even when asked for directions to the ferry bus stop, the map was completely off. A lot of guesswork done with the directions. Bright side, it's close to Canal city and FOOD! Lovely room, clean bathroom with the usual trimmings =] Overall lovely stay, even if it was for one night only.

I would recommend this hostel to people who are after a good nights sleep, and are not looking for a hostel to inspire, or meet people. This hostel was great for me, because the nights I was here I just needed to crash. I got a hotel room to myself for all the nights, ensuite, for the price of a dorm rate. For that and location, I would score this 100%.

The room was very small for 4 people, but luckily I used it by myself. Because of cheap price and good location, I recommend this place to others who want to stay in Fukuoka.

More like a hotel with big rooms. Location was good but not much more than a bed for the night.

The staff are the friendliest persons I met in Hakata, they gave me a nice souvenir for chopsticks and the girl even helped me to find the apple vinegar I wanted to buy. Overall it's a nice and clean hostel. I can't tell much about "Location", the weather was so bad that I only appreciate that it's in the shopping arcade and not far from City Canal or the Yaitas.

The Hostel was quiet while I was there and quite clean. The staff was helpful about giving advice on where to go for food and entertainment, though I don't think they understood what we wanted--they sent us to the shopping district downtown :P downtown is within walking distance (20 mins or so) and right near Canal City. Its located in a covered "shopping arcade area that was easy to find--though the sign is hanging from a second-floor window and was a little hard to notice if not looking

Great location and friendly staff! Didn't stay much in the hostel, just slept there so can't say much about the facilities. Room was a bit small but nothing to complain really. I'd recommend this place!

The room I stayed in was pretty crammed, but it worked. The security boxes are really small, and they are out in the stairwell. Perk: my room had a bathtub! There were a lot of brochures and info on the wall which was useful. Staff did speak some English. Hostel is located 3 subway stops from the airport, it's in a shopping arcade, and really close to temples and downtown. It would be a good place to stay in a group, but alone it's hard to meet people due to the really small lounge.

Very good value for money. I got a private room with a very comfy bed and my own bathroom. The location is great, about 10 mins walk to the station and the main shopping area (Tenjin). There's a faint scent of smoke in the first floor, just to note that. It didn't really bother me, though.

Fantastic location! Canal shopping mall is literally 5 mins away connected via bridge, 15 secs from hostel. Other main areas such as Tenjin core are also really close (approx 10-15 mins). No need to take subway or bus unless you're tired. Area is really safe despite it being close to a 'red light district', in fact you see a lot of beautiful women here ;)

I really like this hostel. We rented bikes and one of the tires blew out, when I returned the guy went and bought a new bike for us to cruise for the rest of the day. The location is very near to the Yatai food stalls and walking distance to both Tanjin and Hakata station.
