Great location (closest to beach) and great facilities (nice room, ping pong table, great common room, bar, etc.), but the staff are so bloody rude it was ridiculous. They don't have any power outlets in rooms (come on guys!) so we're sitting in the halls charging our devices and they get insanely angry because we're 'blocking the hallways'... plus they don't let you bring your own alcohol in, and when the staff found out, he had a panic attack and we thought he was going to punch us in the face

The kitchen wasn't very well stocked with pots and pans... Had to wait to use one of the 2 pans. Could do with new stuff! Also, only 2 toilets and 2 showers for the whole hostel. Not all the rooms have plug points. Although an inconvenience, it does fit in with the age of the property.

The kitchen opens much too late in the morning for people who want to have breakfast before going to a tour or taking an early plane. So you should put a code so that the kitchen access could be good, safely. The lack of power plug in the rooms is a real problem too.

The hostel is located on a really good location near the beach. I liked the welcome drink the first day so you can meet people. Only the kitchen was terrible, i had to wait half an hour to start cooking.

We LOVED Halse Lodge!! Felt like coming home to a friends summer cottage. The Staff where really friendly and helpful and the hostel had a great atmosphere, not an annoying partyhostel but a chilled out place where locals and tourists came to drink beer together at the cosy outside port yard. Great food in the restaurant as well! Clean rooms, cosy common areas, specially at the second floor and perfect location, just by the mainbeach! Would recommened it to everybody! Best stay in Australia!

It's clean and the location is perfect, only 3 min to main beach. But some stuff is not very patient and friendly. We have YHA member card and showed it to stuff when we check in,but she didn't give us discount ,we noticed it the next day and asked her,she returned us 4dollars unpatiently.

The hostel has everything to be one of the best in Noosa. But the staff should propose activities to make everyone to know each other.

Halse Lodge was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. It was more like a hotel than a hostel, the rooms were great, leading out onto a big verandah. Noosa is a fairly quiet chilled place but we stayed over Christmas and the bar was lively and generally really good atmosphere. complimentary free drink the evening you arrive and chance to meet other people who'd just arrived was also great.
