Excellent facilities, friendly helpful staff. Most comfortable clean bed. Spotlessly clean. Recommend visit to the roof terrace of the nearby sister hostel. Room price very reasonable. Ancillary services a bit on the pricey side. One flaw, some pressure from 1 staff member to take their tour to warriors rather than going on local transport. Otherwise, perfect!

Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Hotel comparable. Comfy dorm beds, acres of room, good lockers. Joe - England

Wonderful hostel, located in the heart of the city, next to Drum and Bell tower and the Muslim quarter. The staff is very friendly, fluent in English, replying immediately to emails and helping wherever they can. We got a free pick up from the railway station, thanks for that! The rooms are very nice, neat and tidy, new, having all amenities you need. We spent only a weekend there but enjoyed it a lot!

No internet in room. And in the lobby also not most of the time.

I loved staying at Han Tang House! The staff were very accommodating and it had great character! I loved learning to make the dumplings and eating them!! A great, sociable hostel with very clean facilities, comfortable beds and the best shower I've had so far in China!

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in China! Lacks a little character and that 'backpacker' feel but makes up for it with incredibly clean facilities - awesome bathroom set up in each room (hot and powerful shower!). Stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorm. Was cleaned daily (if not more!). Great location and very helpful staff. Laundry was expensive at 10¥ a kilo as they did it for you. Could be improved by charging a flat rate to use the washing machine and drying it yourself (like most hostels).

Thé best place I've stayed in so far. Good price and location. Very clean. The western style breakfast was really good but expensive. I always wonder why every hostel has this western style breakfast. I could do with a bit of Chinese food in the morning as long as it is not too fatty and too heavy.

The staff was so helpful to the group of us - all college students - who were in Xi'an for the first time and needed much help with directions, ideas and logistical questions. They were more than happy to help and it made our stay immensely enjoyable! Their food as well as the living space that was provided was fabulous - all of us slept well and even met new friends through the facility. We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved the actual hostel. The service was great. We would stay here again. Our only two complaints were that the walls were a little thin. You could hear everything. Also, the staff was a little pushy with the Terracota Warrior tour. Taking that tour was our only regret visiting Xian. You should just take a shuttle out there, take a picture, and leave.

We loved this place. There were 6 of us (3 couples) and we all stayed in private double bed rooms, and we all enjoyed our stay. The rooms are not amazing, but for a hostel they are pretty good, especially if you've stayed in some sketchy places before you arrived there like us... The restaurant and bar area downstairs has a great atmosphere, and they serve lots of different western foods/drinks for a decent price. But the best thing about this place was the staff - amazing, helpful, friendly!

Really liked the hostel. I stayed in a private room and it was clean, had a good shower and was spacious enough. Really good value for money. The bar is a bit pricy but offers everything you could ask for and was a nice place to meet travelers and locals. Best thing was the lovely staff. Location is good and the sister hostel with a roof terrace is just a couple of metres away. Free activities like dumpling party or walking tour through the Muslim quarter were fun. Highly recommended.

This is the cheapest hostel I've ever been and yet the cleanliness, facilities and location are excellent. The staffs are nice and helpful, but some might just nice to western travelers. The bar is nice and they have live music every Wed. Definitely worth it.

The new premises across the road from the Han Tang Inn, this one is in an old hotel so the rooms are in brilliant condition with excellent shower facilities. The dorm beds for 30RMB are a very good deal. He beds are massive and comfy and the bar is a nice place to sit although for reasonably priced beer just head over to the other property for a cheap local beer which is also one of the best in China (Hans I think?). Staff were very helpful for train and Yangtze River tour info.

Great value for money. The rooms were clean, the beds were excellent. The shower was the best shower I had so far, including the one back home. The food and drinks in their own restaurant are a bit expensive, but right across the alley there is a supermarket. The sister hostel is close by and has a fun roof terrace. Staff is friendly and speaks English.
