Han Tang seems to be a Hotel more than a hostel, but still being able to keep the nice atmosphere. Food was really good, although a little expensive when thinking about Chinese food prices, but definitely worthy. Beds were note-worthy comfortable and bathroom clean and new. Good selection of beers is a plus. Wifi was not working they have their own pcs on the lobby that we could use. As the trip to Terracota was nice too (365 yuan).

Very new updated hostel with great rooms. Stayed in 8 bed dorm with plenty of space within each room. one shower and toilet per room, but separated so it was not a big deal. Really nice hostel. No complaints.

Staff were fantastic helping us when our bags were lost by the airport. Joyce in particular went out of her way to help.

room was very good! big bad, very comfortable and the place was very clean - worth for the quality/money! personally I didn't like the fact that common area is a bar (where in some moment you can barely ear you thoughts for the noise) and internet was not for free (just the wifi). People working there are professional and helpful.

A very modern hostel, good spacious dorms with exceptionally comfortable beds. Cheerful helpful English speaking staff. The food is a little expensive but worth it. The bar can get noisy but I didn't hear anything from my 8 bed dorm once the door was shut. Within walking distance to the local sights and inside the city walls, close to bus stops too but slightly disorienting. You can also share the facilities of the sister hostel just down the road. A great place to stay.

I wanted to like this place, but the Faulty Towers-esque staff let it down considerably. The dorm was spotless, brand-new, comfortable. Tour to the Terracotta Warriors was also good.. But little details frustrated me, e.g. (1) disorganisation and tardiness in organising a taxi to the train station, (2) shock and rudeness displayed by the staff when I asked if I could use a common shower before catching a night train, (3) über-expensive cafe in lobby (franchise of an Aussie version of Starbucks).

We were delighted with this hostel. The location was great and the staff super helpful in every way. We ate several good meals in their cafe. They went out of their way to make sure we got transportation at rush hour to the train station.

Overall the Han Tang was a great place to stay, the beds were super comfortable and the facilities were very clean. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful with one (Robert) going out of his way to help me get a taxi as they can be a bit difficult to get. I definitely reccomend this place to stay.

Good clean hostel with a good location. Not as much character as it's sister hostel, Shuyuan, but probably nicer rooms.

We were surprised at the new beautiful decor in the rooms and bathrooms. Aside from staying in a dorm, it did not feel like a hostel. Really talented live music and yummy western food were a nice break from eating only Chinese. Slightly difficult to find. Loud guests in the hallway kept me from sleeping. Great Place to stay!

The staff was great and very helpful. The room was comfortable and well organized. The best thing was that the hostel was set up so that it was easy to meet other travelers.

Excellent stay here. More like a 3 star hotel than a hostel. Mikee and Rose are both lovely and helpful. Good bar and good food. Got a little cheap on me at times, like when i asked for another butter... (3 slices of toast and one butter!) they tried to charge me for it and also a girl woke my father up at 10pm to check if we had used the tiny sachets of shampoo they were selling in the room for 1 yuan. CHEAP!! However, all in all it was a fantastic experience and very very comfortable.
