One of the staffmember were much more friendly to foreigner than if you speak chinese. That is not a very good treatment od people whom is chinese or speak chinese fluently.

Hang tang House was a awesome place! It had a great location, close to the Muslim street, the city wall and the metro. Beautiful place to stay, nice little bar on the 1floor with great entertainment. Wifi was a bit sketchy, but worked fine in the lobby. The staff was friendly, but seem at times annoyed about you asking them questions - try to smile a bit more guys!
Nice place, good location. Staff can be more friendly if they want to. Bar a bit pricy, not much atmosphere.
My friend and I were very impressed with this hostel. The beds were comfortable (aka not Chinese beds) the facilities were fairly cleaned but it seems like there's could be a mold proven. It was really cool that we could use the facilities in the partner hostel siren the street such as the pool table and roof terrace. The staff at the main hostel were not super useful our flung in English,a lot of our needs were misunderstood but the desk attendant in the partner hostel is amazing, she knows all
Great staff and atmosphere Little disappointed that the only place you can guarantee wifi was in the lobby area. Very patchy in room Great location and easy to find
Best Hostel I experienced during my travels, everything clean, comfortable beds, nice people.
Basic , but clean and comfortable accommodation. Nice reception/bar area, serving good (although a little overpriced) food. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I stayed in a private room. Very clean with a very comfortable bed and a decent shower. Easy enough to meet other travellers downstairs, though similar to other Chinese hostels the communal space is quite bar/table focused. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side. Excellent experience overall though and would recommend it. The staff were particulary helpful.
the floor in my room was dirty. the shelves in the bathroom cabinet were very dirty. the mattress cover was stained and very dirty. the duvet was stained and dirty. some of the staff were unfriendly and rude.
Good place and well situated, just be aware that the hostel may be cheap but they make the money back on food and drink so head out if you want to do either. Apart from that a really good hostel and would stay again.
It is more like a hotel rather than hostel. I went for a single room and was given a twin room. The room itself appears to be good value, with furnishings that I would expect from a hotel rather than a hostel. Another good thing is that there are a lot of cheap food local food options in the neighborhood.
Just like the sister Hostel, this Hostel is amazing! :) And it is even cheaper! Our private room was like in a real hotel, we totally enjoyed our stay. The map provided by the hostel helps a lot to get around the town. But be careful - the panda tour is not possible at the moment, as the park is closes...
Excellent location in a neighbourhood with a lot of nice food stalls! Make sure to try the all-you-can eat Hotpot restaurant next door! Some of the staff are cold and not very friendly while others are really really nice...

Stayed here for about 8 days and had a lovely time. Took their group terracotta tour and met other travelers from the sister hostel down the road. Lovely cafe in the lobby where it's easy to meet others and also a supermarket across the street and lots of local places in the same alley. Everything is clean and very comfortable.
A really nice place right in the centre of Xi'an. The facilities are great, particularly for the amount of money you pay for them. Their tour to the Terracotta Army was also really great value.
Good value for money and good location. Staff was pretty good. Instructions on how to get there was sent well in advance, I really liked that, it made it easy and I didn't have to ask for it.

We arrived early from Beijing on the sleeper train. We were greeted with a free lift from the hostel. The reception staff's English was very good. We wanted to go on a terracotta warriors tour but one was due to leave 5 minutes ago, she got the tour to wait a minute and escorted us to the bus so we didn't get lost. Exceptional
good location, by the old city and yhe muslim strret. Dorms were good, comfortable and the place was clean.Ptices at the restaurent wee pretty much high.
Location in a local, if a bit grubby, side alley is attractive for access and authenticity, and you are very close to transportation and the muslim quarter. The staff are a bit flustered and disorganised, having not kept a record of the changes in my booking. I stayed in the Han Tang Inn, which is the sister hostel on the same street. It has a bar and western food, but due to the location you can easily get cheap and delicious local street food and drinks from the store opposite.
