Great value for money. The rooms were clean, the beds were excellent. The shower was the best shower I had so far, including the one back home. The food and drinks in their own restaurant are a bit expensive, but right across the alley there is a supermarket. The sister hostel is close by and has a fun roof terrace. Staff is friendly and speaks English.

Hostel is very clean and bed is super comfortable! They also have free station pick up if you arrive morning time. This is one of the best value hostel I ever been (world wide) and I don't think you can find better hostel with this price especially here in "CHINA" Stuff is not bad but the way they talk made me feel as if I'm attacked. Maybe that how Chinese people speak.

Hostel staff were great, very helpful and the place is clean and well-located....couple of complaints, though - 1) We were told we'd get a train station pickup, this never turned up and we had to get a taxi 2) While the dorms were very cheap and good value, the bar prices were ridiculous. I understand a pint of imported weissebier costing a fortune. What I dont understand, is how they can charge £2 for a small bottle of local water, that costs 10p in the supermarket 10yrds away.

The staff members were very friendly and very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. All the recommendations were wonderful - dining in he Muslim quarter, going to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda at night with Miki, the Terracotta Warriors tour with Zhazha, and the food served in-house, which was delicious and a great value. I wished I would've stayed an extra day.

We only stayed one night but we were very pleased by the double room. It was very clean and the bathroom was amazing. Maybe a bit Noisy in the corridor but it is a big building so you can't help it. The food at the hostel is nice. The services in general are good though the staff could be more welcoming and smiling. No elevator so if you have heavy luggage, you will have to carry them.

I was pleasantly surprised at just how nice this hostel was. Certainly one of the cleanest I've ever been to, and I loved the way the rooms were set up. There's a lot of character here, and it's designed to make friends. Good location, and the staff was really helpful and kind. I was really impressed with the beds-- real! mattresses. Don't see that too often in a hostel!

The room condition is good but the location is a bit far from the bell tower. The small aisle to the hotel is dirty and bit scary.

Room was above the bar area and was a bit loud when live music was playing or people were leaving the hostel (and yelling in the street).

Unbelievable beds, good showers, clean toilets, amazing, helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay!! Just avoid the 1st floor if you have any problems with cigarette smoke, is close to the bar area.

very nice dorms, showers, comfy beds, its value for money. however, staff are unfriendly, especially the woman, and when I was booking train tickets , they first said that there were no tickets available without even speaking to anyone or looking online anywhere, very bizzare. when they finally did look online, there were actually seats available, and they charged 40 yuan com. the location is ok .. and atmosphere was average. Overall hostel was nice , service could be better

The 8-bed dorm room was surprisingly comfortable for a week-long visit. The beds were comfy, and each had a personal lamp and a very handy set of two shelves, and the mattresses were long enough for me to keep my backpack at the end of the bed (I'm 5'7"). The bar gets extremely loud at night. The internet was a little spotty on rainy days, but you can visit the sister hostel steps away for quiet and internet. Good showers (!) and toilets. Excellent value for the money.

A really nice hostel! Very convenient that the sister hostel is close and you can join in on all events. Just 10 min walk from where everything happens in Xi'an :)

It was nice to stay there. It was also very delightful to stay there in the evening because there was a girl playing the guitar and singing very well. Furthermore, the location was very nice and the staff were very nice too.

Excellent, helpful staff always ready to help you with your queries. The stay was really enjoyable overall. Would have liked it if the room (we took a double bed room) had an AC in it. The first night, with the windows closed, it got really stuffy. Then we had to sleep with the windows open so that the room doesn't get hot, but with the pollution in the air outside it was a little disconcerting.

Good location and the rooms are some of the nicest I've seen for this price in China. The reception was a nightmare because it doubles as the hostel bar. The bar is incredibly smoky and the staff is busy balancing the bar patrons and hostel guests. It would have been great to have wifi in the rooms, as it is only in the smoky bar/lobby. Luckily, the rooms are smoke-free as you have to walk up a lot of stairs to get away from the smoke and noise of downstairs.

Difficult to find. The district and the city itself is dirty. The staff is a bit rude but speaks perfectly english. The rooms are clean and big. The atmosphere at night is great because usually there is a group of people singing or some kind of concert.

Good location, near to town center and easy to access train station.Single room had efficient layout, great bed, and was clean.Cleaning staff was very friendly and responded to requests speedily. While most staff had solid English skills, communication with some was more difficult. Most of the staff were always friendly and helpful, but some members were less enthusiastic to provide useful information. No wifi in room(3rd floor),and sometimes didn't work in lobby/restaurant area. Good food, coffee.
