Lively shared spaces, a warm & helpful staff, a friendly and knowledgeable guide to the terracotta warriors, and beautiful & clean interiors helped make our stay in Xi'an fun and memorable.

No wifi in the room, need to go to lobby if you want to online. lobby and 2F is bar lounge and it getting noisy (live band and smoking) at night. Good location - nearby MRT (walking distance) and Train station (8mins to bus stop station and 3 stops to arrive in train station), local food breakfast can be found outside of the hostel. The staffs are helpful and room is good , if you don't mind noise at night this is your choice.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the cappuccinos were delicious, and the internet was very good. The location was perfect--very close to the Bell Tower, yet on a little alleyway with a lot of character. I loved being close enough to walk to the Muslim District for dinner every evening. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't keep the smell of smoke out of my room completely. Even with that, though, I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect! Was my second stay there and I couldn't be more satisfied. The rooms are very clean, mattresses are soft, food in the café/bar is great and they offer lots of tours.

This place is hotel quality, when my friends and I arrived, the place was overbooked and they upgraded our room for free, there are very nice rooms, the only mishap is the noise in the bar at night makes it impossible to skype, since the computers are located in the bar, and the Wi-Fi is pretty weak on the other floors

Well, best hostel in China i think, and probably even best than hostels around the world... the food is expensive if u compare it with street food!!! ecxellent quality so they deserve to be payed!!! one thing! half of the fishes in the aquarium are dead :( and the turtle at the entrace look so sad in that vase... !! treat animals like you treat people and you will be PERFECT!!!

I think that the private rooms are a bit too much expensive, but for the dormitory the price is acceptable.

Negative: As described in the website, there is no kitchen. As a backpacking person, I missed it. Maybe a microwave can give a better impression. Positive: The bed is wonderful. It's very soft, clean. The activities at the cafe provides a good time with local people. The staff are outreach and outgoing, they really care if I was having a good time in Xi'an. They suggested a lot of things to do and places to go.

Han Tang House is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. For the price I paid, which is very affordable, this hostel far exceeded my expectations. I stayed in the 8 beds mixed dorm for three nights. The mattresses are unbelievably comfortable. Reading lights are provided for every bed, which was great. The bathroom was also clean and comfortable. The only complaint is that the toilet emitted a bad smell, so I constantly had to keep the toilet door closed and put the exhauster on.

Definitely the best hostel we stayed at in china. Located on a quieter alley street, there's great street food and cheap restaurants nearby. Also helped that the han tang inn was located on the same street since they have the better facilities (pool, ping pong, and 6 yuan beer!). Special shout out to Blanca, Osman, and Mickie for their excellent customer service

Great place to stay. My family stayed in a tripple and it was wonderful. It's only a short walk to the drum tower. Staff was very helpful, even with making a place to park my van. (parking is not available except on the side walk.) The only downside was the breakfast was terrible, but it is just a short walk to better food. We'll stay again.

The location is good especially with the new metro line. The staff are willing to answer whatever questions. The only problems that we had were with the bathrooms, the toilets weren't the greatest. And that they had live music playing late into the night so if your room is close to the bar you can hear everything if you want to or not.

The room here was excellent, with a perfect location to boot. The staff was also very nice, helping my friend fix his pants after he tore them on a day hike! Would definitely stay here again!

Best hostel! Room & shower room were big & clean with comfy beds, heating, clean linen & English movie channel (whole hostel was heated). Wifi worked in rooms on 1&2 floor, closest to staircase. Restaurant had tasty western food (little over priced- should offer Chinese food). The staff were friendly (thanks Osman & Miki). Great bar atmosphere- live bands & free dumpling parties. Bar noisy for 1st floor. Terracotta tour worth doing! Great place to meet people. 10mins walk to metro & shops.

Good overall. Music plays all day which is nice and the bar is lively at night although it was filled with locals rather than people staying at the hostel. Food is expensive compared with everywhere else but nice. The rooms are basic but adequate with good showers. We emailed 4 days prior to arrival to request the free pick up and when we didn't hear back we assumed they would not come so struggled with our bags on a local bus. It turned out they had gone to meet us by did not think to tell us!
